We're a pro-choice nation

You don't seem to think the child in the womb has any rights. What has that child done to deserve capital punishment? Shouldn't a mother give her child it's right to life?

Given the other topics you've replied to I have to ask...are you with a group or are you just fucking stupid?

Why so you can do more gobbleygook spin

Nope.

You said that I could not refute any of the facts you present.

So I am asking you to present one of your facts...and if I dispute it, I will refute it.

Show some spine. Present one of those "facts"...and we will see if I can refute it.

I didn't ask you jack shit.

And you also don't know jack shit so shut it.

It is just common sense. A living patient can have treatments tested on them, can be monitored for the course of the disease, and produces disease samples. A dead patient cannot even tell you how the disease kills, if you are the one who killed him, not the disease. There is no reason to kill Patient Zero as long as their are reasonable quarantines. And almost everywhere on present day earth can do quarantining very well, if need be.

Ok. Cool. I have bigger fish to fry here right now. I'll get back you to you later. My bad for quoting you.

A childs life starts at conception

A childs life starts at conception

... an "ear of corn" starts with germination of a seed but that speck of green that first emerges from the soil isn't an ear of corn. A pregnant woman "having" a child means she doesn't have one yet so what she does have is not a child.

This is just word gaming for evading the issue.

Even if that is true, which it might not be, the thing I disputed was, "There is a child in the womb."

When most abortions take place...THERE IS NO CHILD IN THE WOMB.

So the fact that an oak tree "starts" as an acorn...does not mean that if you pick up an acorn, you have picked up an oak tree.

So...now show some spine and offer a "fact" that has some meaning.

There is a child developing in the womb...at every stage, from conception to birth....

If you remove that speck of green, you terminate the growth of the plant....a plant that is alive... There can be no corn, no oak tree, no human being if their development is deliberately ended... When a woman miscarries, she loses a child....But when a woman has an abortion, she doesn't? How does that make sense?

There is an oak tree developing from the moment the bud of an acorn forms. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THERE IS AN OAK TREE THERE.

A woman with a pregnancy occurring in her own body should not lose authority over her body because the government decides it wants that authority for itself. If the woman decides she wants to terminate the pregnancy, she should be able to do so legally...and with the safety that legality provides.

If the people who want to rule someone else's body finally grok that...the world will become a better place.

It does unless it's removed....A woman can decide to terminate her child..I'm sure you can understand that there are those of us who feel differently than you do about this unborn child..especially those of us who have children and experienced pregnancy...... (I cannot believe you used the word "grok"...I think too highly of you to have to see you type that....;))

Blather doesn't make sense.

It does unless it's removed....

Yes, it "does" become a living human "unless it's removed" (or otherwise caused to fail)...

...but "becoming" a thing is NOT the same as BEING that thing. An acorn (if it does not fail) will become an oak tree...but an acorn IS NOT an oak tree. A blastocyst, an embryo, or a fetus is not a living human...despite the fact that they can become a living human.

That is all I am saying.

A woman can decide to terminate her child.

A woman can decide to terminate a pregnancy occurring in her own body...and should be able to do so legally...and with the safety that legality helps provide. You and others of your same mind may want to word your remarks the way you are because wording it more accurately weakens your arguments.

I'm sure you can understand that there are those of us who feel differently than you do about this unborn child..especially those of us who have children and experienced pregnancy.

YES...I GROK THAT. Why are you so unable to understand that there are those of us who feel differently than you about whether an UNDENIABLE LIVING HUMAN WOMAN who wants to terminate a pregnancy occurring in her own body should be able to do so legally...and with the safety that legality helps provide?

..... (I cannot believe you used the word "grok"...I think too highly of you to have to see you type that....;))

What do you see as demeaning about that word? It is used by intelligent people to denote understanding in depth...often through intuition or empathy. I use it often...and honestly see nothing to be ashamed of about using it.
