Daniel Penny Will Be Charged in Subway Chokehold Killing of Jordan Neely

I hope the guy takes a plea and does no jail time.

Probation for a year or two.

The death was obviously not intentional and it sounds like the crazy guy had made verbal threats to him and some other passengers.

It's getting to where they need armed guards on every form of public transportation.

Bottom line: ALL the information needs cross examination....all the witnesses, all the video. Until then, it's all speculation by us.

My daughter said when she lived in New York, someone shouting on the subway was a common occurrence. She, along with others, just ignored them.

This guy broke a 67 year old woman's nose and gave her a concussion. That is pretty hard to just ignore. This type of person should be removed from the subway by the NYC government and police. They failed to do their jobs so a good Samaritan had to step up. Unfortunately things went badly . But don't forget Neely set these events in motion not Penny.

Question . If you saw this guy inches away from an elderly woman's face screaming that he would kill her and he wasn't afraid of going to jail, would you? 1. Just look away and hope he doesn't focus on you. 2. Do something. 3. Hope an able bodied Good Samaritan like Penny stepped in and stopped Neely? Be honest.

I don't know everything that happened,
and only the jury will see all of the evidence.

Based only on the little that I have seen, however,
I would as a juror have a hard time convicting the accused,

this despite the fact that I probably wouldn't like either party involved.
