It's an accurate spin. If a racist say, commits a robbery where there is no in person victim--like say robbing a building that isn't occupied--should the racist get more time for being a racist?

If the robber is a member of a violent, racist militia and the point of the robbery was to fund terrorist acts against Americans, should he get more time?
The fact remains he can appeal the sentence. If it’s unfair, a higher court will overturn it.

I'm going to agree with Phan here. Our military and civilian law enforcement *has* been attractive to the would-be insurrectionists and to WSE. There were a number of former and current members of both in the attack on the Capitol on J6.
