If a mother loses her baby in the womb it means the baby died. To die you must first be alive.

These debates always come down to semantic games.

An appendix is "alive." People get those things removed all the time.

Not saying abortion should be like that. But women should have a time period where they can make a reasoned choice. It's better for them, and better for society.
 
If a mother carrying a child is murdered by some deranged lunatic he is charged with double murder a lot of times. This cannot be if the child were not alive . You can not be charged with murdering someone who is not alive. :thinking:

No...an appendix is only part of a body. without the body an appendix can never survive and live on its own. A baby can do just that after a time. An appendix is merely a PART of something that is alive. Poor example. Now mix me a Gin Ricky with 2 slices of lime!

Which is why allowing abortion in the 1st trimester makes sense. A fetus is not viable in that timeframe.

Abortion should always be a choice for women, in that 1st trimester. I don't really get why people (men) have issues w/ that.
