Chomsky is a linguist with exactly zero training in religious studies, history of religion, or cultural anthropology.

There are plenty of genuine scholars of religion who's work and exegesis put religion and their sacred texts into their proper context. People like Bart Ehrman, Luke Timothy Johnson, Phillip Carey, Shai Cherry, Molly Worthen, Isiah Gafni.

That's the problem with frantically googling for tidbits of info!

Sometimes it's just going to blow up in Pmps face. A Greek or Roman stella 500 years younger than the First temple era is not really tangible proof of the first temple
