Israeli archaeologist ; No evidence to support Israelites. Old Testament is a myth.

You don't give a rat's ass about repression of Muslim minorities in the Russian Federation,

Says the fixated smearmonger who claims to know the thoughts of biblical people.

Haw, haw................................haw.

Let's ignore the smear-monger and Mauve Man and put the thread back on track. They've both been thread-banned so they won't be derailing the next one.

I repeat;

The importance to Americans of clarifying that the Old Testament is a work of fiction is that the beliefs of Evangelists and Christian Zionists are based on hogwash. These groups practically run America and are responsible for supporting Israeli fascism- to their own ends, obviously- which has been responsible for the deaths or displacement of millions of people- and still threatens more war for the US in the ' cause ' of Israel's security.
All those American service personnel- and other nationalities too- that have died or been disabled in Israeli-led Middle East conflicts have died and suffered for lies. Jewish claims in the bible are baseless, unsupported by any evidence.
We should all stop listening to false preachers who tell us that it is true. They have themselves been deceived.

When the bugles blow again- detain the bugler.

Fuck the religious bigots. Fuck the pseudo-patriots. Peace to mankind.

For someone who has dedicated their life to complaining about the Jews, I would think you would at least attempt to have a rudimentary understanding of their religion and history.

You would like to have Jews considered as one community. Tough tittie, smearmonger. Anti-Zionist Jews are not going to let you.

Here's the thing, Cypress.

While I don't require having even a rudimentary understanding of any psychotic religious superstition, regardless of brand,

we do have an example in Moon of how complete insane the fucking towelheads are.

You're not even a good sniper, nibbles.
You'll be repaid for your effort though.

Haw, haw.................................haw.

Some examples of other ad hominem contributions by nibbles. Check the racist asshole's posting record.

I don't see any evidence Moon is Muslim, nor that he has self identified as a practicing Muslim.

Moon shows no solidarity toward or empathy about oppressed Muslim minorities in Russia, China, or Myanmar.

His principle animating obsession is to complain about the Jews.

You could be right. Anyway, I don't call him a Muslim.
I call him a fucking towelhead.

Do you think I would call any respectable Muslim lady or gentleman a disrespectful name like that?
My primary care doctor is a Pakistani Muslim, and her husband is my cardiologist.

I hold the Muslim-American community in high esteem. They are probably the most law abiding demographic in America and they tend not to drink alcohol or do drugs. I'd rather have a teetotaling devout Muslim family as neighbors than some MAGA hillbillies jacked up on crystal meth

I think a lot of progress could be made if Israel openly acknowledged that Palestinians have legitimate grievances that need to be addressed equitably, and if Palestinians openly acknowledged that Israel has a right to exist.

They have. Remember 1978, the "Camp David Accords" and Jimmy Carter? Who refused "Peace in the Middle East"?

https://www.britannica.com/event/Camp-David-Accords
The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), professing to speak for the Palestinian people, also rejected the accords.

Later, as the same link points out, an agreement between Israel and the PLO was also signed. Who fucked that one up?

Two wrongs don't make a right, but I can see how the Palestinians continuing their Cult of Death would wear on any nation.

BTW, excellent documentary: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0817498/
The Cult of the Suicide Bomber
EMMY and British Grierson Award nominated documentary in which former CIA agent and terrorism expert Robert Baer tracks the history of suicide bombers.
It's free on Tubi. https://tubitv.com/movies/606412/the-cult-of-the-suicide-bomber

Baer's books on the Middle East are also very enlightening. https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/robert-baer

My favorite is "The Devil We Know: Dealing with the New Iranian Superpower" since it's still relevant today. While all the books are interesting, time and changes in the ME have made some problems fade away.

I thought the camp David accords was a peace treaty between Egypt and Israel? Not the Palestinians

I don't think the Palestinian authorities have ever made it public policy to acknowledge Israel has a right to exist.
.

And I don't think Netenyahoo has ever genuinely acknowledged the Palestinians have legitimate grievances.

I agree. I also agree that the some Israeli reactions the past few years are overreacting.

OTOH, since they've been under constant attack for 75 years, since 1948, it's understandable why their patience is growing thin...even if it isn't always condonable.
What do you 2 Googlers know about Yugoslavia?

Partly. As the Britannica link points out, the Palestinian issue was part of it, but they chose not to participate.

What grievances? Israel gave the Palestinians control over the West Bank and Gaza. Guess who used those areas to launch rocket attacks and plan suicide bombings?

I think the Camp David accords were mainly addressing Egyptian grievances.

Clinton worked on a two state solution, but supposedly the Palestinians felt the Israelis were offering them only low quality land on the West Bank, and keeping the best lands for themselves.

Probably not- and those that thought they knew had probably forgotten.

Now that they've been reminded- much to your modest chagrin- they might dump the fiction and stop pumping it to children and the otherwise naive.

The Old Testament is a work of fiction- some of it malignant, I hazard to guess.

It's probably not 100% fiction...I'm sure there's material to be gained from it. As any ancient text, it shows how a people of that time thought and what they believed. It is a pity that many today still want to hold humanity to the same benighted morality that sometimes raises its head in the OT, but then there's also a lot of good stuff in there too.

The importance to Americans of clarifying that the Old Testament is a work of fiction!
The books of Torah are ancient and date to the Bronze-age. The Jewish ritual purity laws and the Decalogue are hardly fictional. They form the very basis of Orthodox Jewish tradition. Whereas the stories in Genesis are undoubtedly mythical or embellished.

The rest of the Hebrew bible dates to the first and second temple periods, and do contain substantial amounts of historical information. Even your own experts in the OP acknowledge the historicity of the unified monarchy under David and Solomon, the only bone of contention is that this was a smallish tribal kingdom, not a great regional power

The PLO didn't want to participate in 1978. Yes, they finally relented after 15 years of getting nowhere killing innocent Israelis and constantly getting their asses handed back to them by the IDF.

Still, who broke the peace? All the Palestinians worth a shit had long since left elsewhere. Only the fanatics and nutjobs remained behind. The MAGAts of the ME.

Hezbollah terrorists are one thing, and I have no sympathy for them

But there are five million Palestinian civilians who have never killed a Jew, don't necessarily agree with Hezbollah actions, and are being robbed of living a dignified human life

The a primary rule of guerilla warfare, as stated in those links I shared with you in the past, is to have the support of the population. A terrorist attacks the population. This is the difference STY couldn't figure out or refused to acknowledge. Hamas and other terrorist organizations survive because the areas in which they are based are popularly supported the local public.

75 years of terrorists constantly killing innocent Israelis is certain to have a negative influence on the Israelis.

OTOH, the Palestinians see suicide bombers, Hamas and 9/11 hijackers as heroes and they support the actions of their both passively and actively.
