I wouldn't shoot two cheerleaders trying to get into my car!

Another inmate for Texas prison. FWIW, even if the girls were trying to steal the car, that's not justifiable use of deadly force. Junior is going to prison...for a very long time if the one girl dies.

"Pedro Tello Rodriguez Jr., 25, who was taken into custody and charged with deadly conduct, a third-degree felony, according to police.

The investigation is still ongoing and additional or enhanced charges may be added, police said.

Shearer told NBC affiliate KXAN four girls from her gym were involved in the shooting, and that the athletes carpool from the Austin area to the gym outside of Houston.

"It was unfortunate. These girls were just trying to get home," Shearer said, adding the man fired about five shots into the vehicle.

Guano, great reminder in this new world of catch and release carjackers, opening the door of the wrong car can result in gunfire. Recently in Minneapolis, one carjacker was caught in the morning, released, and arrested again the same day for the same crime. Many of these little miscreants are 12 years old, flash a gun, steal the car, and not knowing how to drive, they wind up destroying a lot of property some wind up in the hospital at taxpayers' expense.
I know you spend your day hunting for these types of stories and it might be interesting to follow up with all the destruction these carjackers have caused and the impact on everyone's insurance, but that will not fit your narrative. This can all be mitigated with judges that ignore plea deals and throw some hard time on these little assholes so we all can shop without having to wonder if some thug isn't going to steal our belongings.

Just for the record, I do not drive anywhere ever without a firearm carried AIWB and my doors locked.

Carjackings Are On The Rise. What Drives Youth To Commit These Crimes?

I came out of the Doughnut shop the other day and got in my car- except it wasn't my car. No, it was one exactly like mine.

Same model, same year, same color!

I saw a pack of cigarettes lying on the console, and said to myself, "How did those get there", and realized my car was sitting one over.

So, I like jumped out of the car and went to my car and drove out of there like a bat out of hell!

Normally I would have locked my car, but my clicker needs a battery, so I haven't been locking it just to run in and out of convenient stores etc.

I live in Texas, and now to think- I was lucky I wasn't shot and killed by some guntard!

It wouldn't be a legal shooting, so, yes, anyone who shot you would be a guntard.

As it is, I always lock my car because I keep a gun in it. :D

in other news, 80 million gun owners in America didn't shoot anyone today.

Give them time. That makes no sense. The guy who shot the black kid at his door, and this shooter were responsible gun owners until they weren't. All you gun-lust people are an incident away from the same thing.

This "accidental" talk is more media lies. Someone breaks into your house or your car, you have to assume they are up to no good and you have to shoot.

All auto drivers are one incident away from murdering an entire family on a two-lane blacktop.
