I don't know what transpired. Investigation will reveal it.
The initial investigation didn't warrant an arrest. Will rioting and burning by Walt and those like him change that? Possibly.

People get released all the time pending investigations.
You've never heard of that before?
So? If he broke the law he will be charged if not then he won't. That's it. End of story.
In this type of case, if there is any indication that the shooting was criminal - they typically would not release.
The skin color of the homeowner is the ONLY thing that matters to you Nazis.
He was arrested and put on record.
Again, he IS A 80 YEAR OLD WHITE GUY. Why do you keep ignoring that part?
And yet I just said it does not matter.
He was not arrested. He was brought in to give his statement and released in less than two hours. Why do you keep ignoring this?
You say lots of things - very few are true.
Oh excuse me... he was "detained".
Two representatives at the Kansas City Police Department detention unit read the man’s booking information to CNN over the phone. They confirmed the man who was booked on an investigation hold was a White man in his 80s and his home address matches the address where the shooting took place.
Then we agree he was not arrested.
A white man shooting a black person? In 2023 America, the inferior race doesn't walk after shooting a member of the preferred race. It's almost impossible that he wasn't arrested. There is obviously something that made police release him...
No we do not agree. He was detained in a detention unit where he was photographed and booked. Just the same as being arrested.
And it's pretty quite simple. The investigation has just begun. Can't charge without full investigation.
Seriously go back to school.
Simply not true. In the VAST majority of cases, the accused is arrested prior to the investigation. He was questioned, and released.

Now if it was Florida or Texas, the guy would probably be innocent under the Stand your Ground law, don’t know about Missouri, but wouldn’t be surprised being another Red gun happy State
Poor ahonvies, unless I missed it, where was "hoodie" in your posted article?
Ah, think Trevon Martin, you gun huggers rationale for guns, defending yourself incase the kid in the hoodie appears in your neighborhood
Then we agree he was not arrested.
He was detained, booked, questioned then released pending investigation.
He is not free to go.
He was taken into "custody".
