Israeli archaeologist ; No evidence to support Israelites. Old Testament is a myth.

All the scriptures of the all the major world religions contain mythology and allegory.

The fact that you specifically and studiously avoid criticizing other religions in just one more factoid that supports the conclusion you are an antisemite.

Well- your conclusion , modestly shocking though it is , supports the belief that you're a smear-mongering asshole.

Haw, haw........................haw.

That was brilliant, Marty.

Do you have any more gems?

Since the first example didn't get through except for a flash of light you say you saw it's doubtful another would. The post was merely a reminder all foundation stories are rooted in myth.

We agonize over past possible mistakes from which there is no redemption.

We instead have to learn to del with what we've got now, for better or worse.
Past grievances are not addressable, so we have the choice to fight or negotiate.
Perhaps we should just get on with one or the other, full bore, no restraint, no looking back.

It would have to be better that the eternal tension, regardless of outcome.

You should spike the football and take a victory lap for posting the "brilliant" observation that the ancient Bronze-age Tanak has embellishments and unsubstantiated stories.

If it hadn't been for your brilliant insights, I don't think anyone here would have realized that.

Probably not- and those that thought they knew had probably forgotten.

Now that they've been reminded- much to your modest chagrin- they might dump the fiction and stop pumping it to children and the otherwise naive.

The Old Testament is a work of fiction- some of it malignant, I hazard to guess.

Yes, I am sure the "brilliance" of your insights that stories in the Bronze-age Tanak are unconfirmed and unsubstantiated will put a huge dent in world Christianity.

Good detective work, chap!

Exactly right. The Old Testament starts with silly myths, but progresses towards history as it gets later.

One man's myth is another man's history. The problem begins with those who are willing to steal, kill and ethnically-cleanse on the back of myths and accompanying lies. Such primitives should not be permitted to prosper at the expense of truth- and that's where the law comes in. The Neo-Zionist claim to Palestine is a fiction based upon a myth. Totally unacceptable in the 21st century.

Drank the Kool-Aid and swallowed it all. Now she thinks Palestine was a country.

You're back to complaining about the Jews.

Even your own article in the OP admits the unified kingdom existed, just that it was only a small tribal kingdom, not a great regional power.

The historicity of the northern kingdom of Israel and the southern Kingdom of Judah are almost universally accepted by credible scholars of antiquity.

And the Babylonian exile, the Hellenistic era and the Hasmonean dynasty are accepted historical fact.

So according to the historical record, and your own experts in the OP, the Hebrew tribes who worshipped Yahweh lived in the eastern Mediterranean Levant for at least three thousand years.

Not at all, smear-monger. My contention is with criminals, thieves, murderers, ethnic cleansers, apartheid practitioners, extremist racists and the illegal occupiers of Palestine .
