UFC crowd in Miami goes wild as Trump enters arena with Kid Rock and Mike Tyson

I do not even know of one song of Kid Rock!

I am a cover musician with over 2500 songs in my catalog of songs that I have covered and played on the guitar!

The songs that I cover are from 1950 all the way to 2020!

Who is Kid Rock? If he is in the music business, it must not be ROCK music!

If he was anyone with any Musical significance, I would know at least one of his songs!

But NO! Nothing rings a bell!

You're not missing anything. He's a former rocker that moved on to performing more country-style music. His lyrics are over-the-top macho patriot bloviating. His one hit was literally called American Badass.

The Gecko must be living under a rock…or lying about not knowing who Kid Rock is…or both.

The ox living in Northern Michigan is REALLY trying to downplay who Kid Rock is as well. It is especially funny seeing OX do that considering Kid Rock is from there. EVERYBODY in Michigan knows who he is...

He is lurking now.

Let’s see what lie he comes up with.

Kid Rock Net Worth is $200 Million Dollars. Kid Rock is one of the best selling music artists in the United States, for the past two decades. Through his musical royalties, Kid Rock earns over $34 million dollar income annually.

.
My five year old grandson knows who he is because my daughter listens to his music.

Thanks!

That was the first time I listened to any of his stuff.

Here he takes Warren Levon's "Werewolves Of London" which is a song my band covers, and he wrote his own lyrics over it about his having fun in Michigan on a summer day at the lake, and tributes Lynard Skynard's "Sweet Home Alabama", another song by band covers, in his lyrics. Both Home Sweet Alabama and Werewolves of London uses the same 3 chords, so that worked out rather nice transposing one for the other back and forth through the song. So the Kid gets a little credit here for the concept of doing that.

He seemed to bring it all together, and pulled it off OK. His vocals didn't really have to have much of a workout though, as it was all sung in a very easy tenor laid-back range, so it gave it that Lazy Hazy Day's Of Summer feeling we all miss during those LONG COLD LONELY WINTERS. The song was boosted by the good lead guitar that broke in on the instrumental that did not let down.

In other words, he didn't butcher either song, but when you hear Werewolves Of London, what really made that song work best were the Werewolf's Ahh-ooo's that are wailed out in the original chorus of the song, and they were sorely missed in this parody version of the song. Surely he could have found a way to work those in somehow, as if to show a little tribute to Warren Levon's version of the song- that he stole the melody from. And I also believe that when you are a stand up vocalist, and do not have to be burdened with playing an instrument at the same time, a vocalist should challenge his vocals somewhat more than he attempted to do. So his vocals didn't really stand out and fell a little flat for my taste- someone's who's sung Werewolves Of London over 100 times live before.

It mostly inspired me to go and listen to Warren Levon's original and reminds me just how much I love his song.

Let's give the KID a C for this one- where he proved, he at least, has some imagination and originality in covering some good ole Old Time rock and roll mega-hits.

Thanks Again!

Let's give the KID a C+ for this one!

Let’s give the Gecko a F for this post.

Your word salad falls short of admitting you lied, Gecko.

If you are a professional musician, you have heard of Kid Rock.

Can you match Kid Rock’s Net Worth of $200 Million Dollars? Kid Rock is one of the best selling music artists in the United States, for the past two decades. Through his musical royalties, Kid Rock earns over $34 million dollar income annually.

I’m sure that Senor Rock is just dying to hear your critique of him.

Pobre, Gecko, bien pobre.

What was wrong with my review?

I was just being honest, and I didn't say anything negative.

Kid Rock would probably agree with my review.

I never said I have never heard of him, I said, I am not familiar with anything he ever did.

I haven't watched the Grammy's in years. And I stopped keeping up with the Top 40 hits over 20 years ago.
