Did you know Steve guest starred on the tv comedy series, The Big Bang theory. He developed motor neurone disease in his 20's and was given 14 months to live. He died at age 76. Despite his crippling disease, he seemed like a happy guy.

Oppenheimer was pretty somber. My physicist neighbor always seems angry. But Einstein seemed happy. Michelle Thaller, Hakeem Oluseyi, James Bullock all seem happy.

Probably the most recognizable is Michio Kaku and he seems pretty happy...

Interestingly, none of the mainstream Abrahamic religions believe in reincarnation. I've looked at several religions that do and documented cases involving young children, and I believe there is strong anecdotal evidence for it being real.

You don't have to subscribe to any religion to want reincarnation to be a reality. The Gaudiya Vaishnava Hindus- Hare Krishna movement- believe it to be instantaneous, which I suppose is convenient, not having the soul hanging about in the cosmic waiting-room for a new form. The Meher Baba Sufis believe it to be in the region of 700 years. I'm more relaxed about it- no time limits and come and go as you please.
Whichever- we've got a billion years to think about it. Of course, there are plenty of people who believe that death equates to permanent oblivion. Seems like rather a masochistic belief to me.

Everybody gets a go . The belief for some is that you return to the form most suited to your life's behavior. For some, reincarnation is a very risky business. There will probably be some reincarnated roaches and viruses among my thread-ban list.

I did not know about the 700 years. Cool. Robin Williams' movie "What dreams may come" has an interesting take on reincarnation.

In the mainstream Abrahamic religions, reincarnation is considered to be blasphemy.
