A.I. at Defcon 2 - Tech leaders warn DANGER is imminent - ask for 6 month pause

I did not know about the 700 years. Cool. Robin Williams' movie "What dreams may come" has an interesting take on reincarnation.

I'll watch it when possible

In the mainstream Abrahamic religions, reincarnation is considered to be blasphemy.

Do they arrest people on their way out or on their way back in ?

"During", we are always coming and going at the same time. :)

"Canadian blasphemy trial a warning against smugness

Jan 16, 2015 — But in Canada, you can still go to jail for up to two years for expressing what the Criminal Code calls blasphemous libel."

Answer my question: Where did Biden talk about the survival of the person through death?

He claims to be Catholic. He's your namesake, yet you appear to know nothing about him. Did you know Plugs chased a Black teen into a swimming pool parking lot and threatened to whip him with a chain?

No it isn't you fucktard. There is no such thing as Artificial Intelligence. If there were you wouldn't know because you wouldn't be able to distinguish it from the real thing. Now go chase some more shiny beads quisling.

Big Blue was able to defeat the grand chess master.

There is artificial intelligence. That is just a fact. I am not sure why you would deny it.

As for passing the Turing Test(not being able to distinguish it from human intelligence), AI keeps getting better, and keeps beating the Turing Test in more and more situations. But again, we are not talking about if it exists, but how good it is... And it is getting very good indeed.

"Future of Life Institute backed by Elon Musk, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and DeepMind engineers has called for an immediate pause on developing advanced AIs

OpenAI founder Sam Altman and Microsoft founder Bill Gates have both warned about AI advancements, but companies have been rewarded with stock price bumps...

Does a day go by that you aren't shitting yourself over some fear, pup? I can write you a haiku if you think it will help. :)

Funny. Truly. HAL 9000 going nuts on 2001: A Space Odyssey was one of my two most memorable scenes. The second one being the bone weapon tossed in the air and turning into an orbiting nuclear weapons platform. We're still fighting over "watering holes". LOL

As for HAL, as Dave proved, they have limitations. A very useful tool. Like a sharp knife, possibly dangerous if carelessly used. I don't fear sharp knives, but do respect them when handling. As for a person with a sharp knife, it's the person, not the tool.
