Well, the two pistols I carry regularly (Ruger LC9 and Glock 45 ACP) actually have no safeties, but they are definitely kept solely in my control with no kid (or other human) access. These are the weapons I purchased after they were recommended by my CLEET instructor who was big on one’s “primary” safety. I’ve adapted.

In all seriousness, all guns at my house are under lock and key except for 2. The one I am carrying and the Ruger 22 standing in the corner of the living room.
