I believe that with no one race having a solid advantage in a multi-cultural society,
racial strife, sometimes violent, will simply become business as usual--
much like school shootings.

It's not that for which I hope, I assure you,
but it's unfortunately that which I can envision.

Why has racism increased?



Because like always in history some fucking assholes promoted it to gain power

But that doesn't change the point of my post. My post was intended to show the other poster that, indeed, some people in the US are obsessing on this. Like I said, whether one believes Brookings or not, it's clear that a number of white people are scared of this eventuality.

I agree it's an absurd fear. But the other poster acted like no one ever thought about this before.

It seems that for some people the ONLY way they grow in compassion is if their worst fears happen to them and they have to deal with it. Like Conservatives who fight against LGBT legislation but then turn around when their child comes out.

It would be really nice if people could START from a position of compassion instead of abject terror.
 
Bullshit Blob is missing the point that whites, while remaining the largest single ethnic group, will no longer by themselves be a majority.

The other races combined either outnumber us or soon will.

That's an interesting conjecture. So you are saying one group MUST be the majority and "rule" in the same manner as white people have run America or it will all become sectarian battles? I might not be following your thinking here.

I'm not saying that such must be the case.
I'm saying that it certainly seems that way.
The aggrieved minorities are nowhere close to forming a coalition among themselves.
If bad or unjust stability doesn't exist, the possibility is that no stability at all will follow.
That's my point.

It’s one of the fears



In my life experience



Most people are mostly good

A few people are like saints


And some people are rat bastards



Most are at least 51 percent good

You can appeal to the goodness in most people to get positive things done


The rat bastards don’t want good done


They want their bidding done


The proof is that most of society is a decent cooperative march towards making life decent


Look around you at all the beautiful things mankind has done


It would not be possible unless what I just said about most people being mostly good


I have to feed the dogs now


Let’s all reach towards being in the smallest group I mentions


Let’s try to all reach to being saintly to each other


It will warm your tummy


Now I’m going to warm my dogs tummies with some nice warm breakfast
