Florida principal fired after display of Statute of David.

Just changed the avatar. The Cobra is still under cover in my garage, I'm itching to get it out, but it's still too cold. Soon.....

Glad to hear it.

I was just on Shelby's website where they sells their Windsor and FE aluminum block crate engines.
Every single one carbureted, including the high-end Weber versions.
No EFI in sight.
I don't get it.

EFI is so much more pleasant in normal street driving, but I suppose "pleasant" isn't what Cobra is all about, come to think of it.
I've got [EFI-converted from mechanical] Rochester Ram-Jet in the Corvette. Runs like a Rolex, and more quiet with the hydraulic rollers than with the flat solids.
With modern valve spring technology, we can have a lot more lift and less duration/overlap than on the original cam.

You, however, are a purist, and that's good too.
I'm too old to have the patience to be TOO original, I guess.

A lot of that refusal to give Obama any credit for taking out bin Laden stems, of course, from racism. I have seen Toxic TOP bash him for literally years, but not based on his political POV or policies. Ditto for his wife. Obama gets the same credit for bin Laden's death as Reagan got for tearing down the Berlin Wall, or as Truman got for using the atomic weapons on Japan to finally end that war.

Yep, Obama made sure Bin Laden could never get justice for the way the Bushes fucked him over in this life.

What in the world is "Speakee ingrish, ycfc"? My, my, that's not racist at all, is it?;)

Not any more than you posting repeatedly in "Ebonics," with your former name, TOPICWAQ which became the now-infamous "Toxic." But you claim you're not racist. Oops!

In a court of law run by conservatives, the Mafia boss who orders the hit isn't ultimately responsible for the murder. Only the hitmen are.

Bingo. I see pEarl agrees and gave you one of his impotent groans. He's completely out of ammo; groaning is all he has left.

Did you notice how the goal posts suddenly moved since I posted what you responded to here? Now it's "We never said Obama didn't give the order." Reichtards are so hypocritical.

It's a stock bore 427 side oiler, except for cam and pistons. Cast iron side-oiler block, '65 medium riser heads, '65 intake and a 750 double pumper. Basically what was in it when it was in it in 1965.
I have considered fuel injection, but I'd have to drill a hole in the gas tank, mig weld in a threaded inlet and run a return line. Way too much work and expense. I did briefly read where some company makes a returnless fuel injection, but since I already have almost $30k invested in this engine, bell housing and clutch, that is on the back burner at this time. But yeah, fuel injection is the way to go, especially for easy starting and street driving.

Lots of Cobras have small blocks in them anymore, but i wanted a period correct drivetrain (except for the Jag independent suspension rear end). The chassis was set up for a big block, I could have thrown a 390 in it but as you said, I am a purist and want it as period correct as I can make it. That will increase the resale value (or it should) when it comes time to sell it and buy a '70 Mustang MACH I.

I would love to have a '64 Lincoln Continental phaeton with unibody-to-full-frame-chassis reconfiguration and a Ford F-250 Super Duty 7.3 engine and 10R140 tranny.
The Megazilla version is coming out as a crate soon. That puts out over 500 lbs. ft. from 2000 rpm to redline, and 675 peak!
You need that when you take a very heavy car and make it heavier still with a full frame.

Just a dream, at this point, though. I'm happy that I can still get in and out of the Corvette, albeit not with the top up anymore!

Uncensored has once again lost on the issue, so is instead claiming that Democrats are allies with Al Qaeda and the Taliban... Obama (a Democrat) killed Bin Laden, the founder of Al Qaeda.

Obama didn't kill anyone.

He VERY reluctantly allowed Seal Team 6 to attempt to capture bin Laden.

Regardless, the democrats are close allies with ANYONE who shares your hatred of America.

In short, Obama was the one who gave the order to kill Bin Laden. An order he would not have given had Bin Laden been an ally.

There was a standing order to capture or kill bin Laden back to 2001.

Obama in fact delayed action.

{The operation was five years in progress at the time of the raid. This is fine -- anyone with even superficial knowledge of the intelligence trade is aware that these things take a lot more time in real life than they do on the tube. But the fact that the Abbotabad compound hid a major terrorist target was known to a high order of probability (it was OBL's courier, Abu Ahmed al-Kuwaiti, who led them there) in August 2010. The raid itself didn't occur until April 2011. My trusty calculator that comes with my PC tells me that amounts to eight months. (Actually, closer to nine once every spare week is figured in.)

Eight months between the possible identification of the most wanted man alive and the raid that took him down? How does this make sense?

It's not a question of preparation. The SEALs would happily head out on a mission with five minutes' notice if necessary, and bring it off in style more likely than not. While it's true that such a critical operation called for detailed preparation, this involves a matter of weeks, not months. Building a full-scale mockup of the compound takes a week or two (were talking 4x4s and plywood, not brick and mortar). Training for every possible contingency is, for professionals like the SEALs, a matter of another few weeks. Recall that the American Special Forces community in 2001 planned, prepared, and carried out a full war-sized effort to bring down the Taliban in less than a month. (September 12 - October 7) The Abbottabad raid was far smaller and less complex; that it required over eight times as many months to carry out strains the imagination.

It burns racists and/or Reichwingers to have to give Obama any credit for this, or for anything else. You can tell by the insistence that Seal Team Six apparently acted alone who is who, can't you?

We give Obama far more credit than you fascists ever gave Trump.

And the racism is purely among you who hate Der Juden, the whites.

Tell me what there is more to this story?

Florida education is being destroyed because our teachers are terrified to teach.

Florida's teachers. My advice to them: leave the fucking state. It's turning into a RW Christian Nationalist shithole.

The Cobra was the dream of an 8 yr. old back when I first saw one. Naturally I can't afford what I saw as a kid, so a replica was the only option. The replica has a solid 2X4 frame, rack and pinion steering and the aforementioned Jag rear with a fully adjustable front and rear suspension. Better than the original, and this 427 has 50+ more HP than the original big block did. Over 500 HP and over 500 ft. lbs. of torque in a one ton car with a 90 inch wheelbase can be fun, but must be respected.

The '70 Mustang BOSS 429 is my favorite Mustang, but again, there's no way I could afford one, so it comes down to the '70 428 MACH I, but it has to be a solid car if I make the decision to get rid of the Cobra.
Yes, it's a good thing the Cobra doesn't have a top, that would make it pretty difficult to get in without burning my leg on the hot sidepipes. Coordination isn't quite what it once was.
