Colorado orders Medical MJ dispensers to pay taxes

Maybe it will produce more revenues than they think and other states will implement the idea and make a killing , like Cali.

It will explode as it has in Cali, I dispensery in Oakland is paying a combined million in state, city and federal texas. There patient list is growing exponentially especially this year. Co will make millions, if not this year then next of the following.
I LUV Coloroda and all Medical states.

Why is it ok to tax the hell out of it? That's what I want to understand.

I'm all for legalization, but why do we need to tax every god damned thing that people enjoy?

Because people in the grass roots of the movement like me, and the much more knowledgable evince know that must be given up to get the prohibition ended. A lesser of two evils if you will.:clink:

And an opportunity for the government to overreach it's bounds and grasp more control over the average citizen. Instead of taxing more, why not spend less? But that's off topic.

let them tax it out of prohibition first then we can fight to lower the taxes.

that's exactly the answer. 700,000 annually in jail for mainly possession.
a million tax paying workers back on the productive side is a not small side benefit.

prison is one of the fastest growing private business in the country. So you have that market force to contend with.

THis is a good move and an important step toward legalization.

it's a ridiculously stupid move and anyone with intelligence can see that. Once you let government get their commerce mitts on something, they refuse to let go. You let them tax it and start making money off of it, they will not stop. It will never be brought back to what it should be, which is not allowing them any authority to even touch it, much less regulate it.

which is why everyone in the movement is for it. LOL

How much do they tax other pharmaceuticals?

If this has a serious use for medicine, as so many suggest, then the taxation should be at that same level.
