Democrats demand CALCULUS be banned from High Schools because RACISM!!!!

I find it amusing that the left claims the Americans are anti-education. But every single time there is an assault on actual education - such as this one - it is from the left; and usually driven by racial motives.

The left loves the institution of public schools, but is opposed to actual education. democrats want to perpetuate the "school to prison pipeline" by making public schools in the image of prisons.

It is not prisons, but the factory model, one in fact institutionalized by conservative educators

And I didn’t say Americans are anti-education, but rather that many on the right think they are authorities are eduction, a “talent” they’d never bloviate regarding other professions

Program..

Harvard, University of Phoenix, Pepperdine - to name a few. (Phoenix licenses the curriculum from Harvard)

Because you never completed 3rd grade, you have no clue what rigors are involved in an actual education.

You are a liar.

I just checked Harvard's MBA program and calculus was not required. You can't be this fucking stupid, can you?!

Why wouldn't ones experience in school matter to ones perspective, Anchovies?

I had to take college preparations classes in high school to qualify for engineering school.

I had to take calculus I and calculus II...calculus I was not too difficult but calculus II was.

See, I don't claim to be an authority on education but I have opinions...get as much education as you can, Anchovies.

Largely cause that “experience” becomes further antiquated as time passes, we all played some sports, as we have all done home plumbing repairs, but that doesn’t make us experts in either of those fields, or, our opinions on them qualifying

And never said calculus should be dumped, nor did the study, rather that some thought should be given to deemphasizing it as necessary for college preparation

At Vanderbilt..."Most of the math concepts used in the Executive MBA curriculum are algebraic in nature, students must also have a general understanding of calculus. As a result, Math Camp content areas include algebra and calculus (weeks one and two) and statistics (weeks three and four)."

Engineers must take calculus I and calculus II, Anchovies.

Is calculus required for an MBA?
MBA Program Math Admission Requirements

In most circumstances, this prerequisite standard is the completion of a calculus course at the college level and a similarly leveled statistics course. While a two course prerequisite does not sound particularly intimidating, it can cause problems for unprepared students.

Calculus is part of the curriculum of many - if not most - MBA programs.

As for liberal arts - well that has few requirements for anything.

It is also required for an ECon PhD...my Son-in-Law's program required calculus.

Liberal arts students are required to be proficient in basket weaving.

MBA is a graduate program. I was discussing high school and college undergrad.

I doubt there are many investment bankers on Wall Street using calculus as a routine part of their job, whereas statistics and probability come into play frequently.

I've never known a college that had an engineering "school", a history "school, a physics "school", or a geology "school".

We called them majors; or departments if referring to the building.

The only things called schools were the post-graduate professional law schools and medical schools.

Nope.

John Dewey, a Marxist, introduced the Prussian Public Education model we use today.

https://www.teachthought.com/learning/pedagogy-john-dewey-summary/

Dewey, as is the case of all Marxists - promoted the Caste system, where children at an early age are segregated by function, as cogs in the great machine of the state.

One function of training is for factory work, but the main focus by Dewey was military. Prussia, at the time, had a powerful military machine and Dewey sought to replicate that in America.

The constant refrain from the left is that "conservatives" are opposed to education.

Clearly, it is the left who opposes actual education. Give the peasants ONLY as much knowledge as required for them to fulfil their function to the state is the goal of the left.

John Dewey was not a Marxist. You lie so much it is bare worth refuting.

Do you enjoy art, journalism, history, reading books, going to movies, watching documentaries, listening to music?

Yes, and a liberal arts degree is not required to enjoy them.

Did Beethoven have a degree?
Answer and Explanation: Ludwig van Beethoven did not go to college. He began performing publicly at the age of seven and was composing from a young age as well. His first published composition was in about 1783 when he was just about 13 years old.
