It won't be "US troops" since that's an act of war. It'll be special agents working in coordination with the Mexican government who'll take these fuckers to the ground. I fully support making an example of this cartel by removing them from the planet.

Probably covert DEA agents acting in concert with Mexican special forces.
 
The US should tell Mexico to stop the Fentanyl problem or we will do it for them. If Mexico refuses to cooperate shut down all border crossings until Mexico decides to help.

It's been decades and the cartels have only gotten stronger. They will never be stopped, there is too much money to be made. For every cartel death, there will be many to take their place.
The cartels are simply supplying a product demanded in the US. If you dont stop demand, you will never stop supply.

We have sent troops into Mexico before. It always goes very well... AT FIRST. I am glad President Biden was able to handle this short of sending troops.

There is truth to that. The Opioid Epidemic predates any Mexican involvement. trump voters have a problem with drug addiction, and Fentanyl is just their most recent way of feeding that problem.

I had a vitrectomy two days ago with fentanyl/versed for sedation.
It had very little effect.

I used to give optic nerve blocks for cataract surgeries. I never liked doing them though. You sedate the patient then place a needle behind the eye and inject local anesthetic.

The Opioid Epidemic largely hit rural whites, and completely missed urban whites and Blacks. That is why trump voters were losing life expectancy even before the epidemic, and everyone else was not.
