Colorado woman faces no jail time for statutory rape, pregnancy by 13-year-old boy

I'll ask the question one more time... how is this case a rape? Rape means forced penetration.

Statutory rape!!! Do u know what that is?

Statutory rape is defined by statute as an act of sexual intercourse with a person under the age of consent, which is considered to constitute rape under the law, whether the person is willing or not. In statutory rape, there is usually no overt force or threat.

Which Im sure by the sound of your arguments u Libs want to change

So this isn't a rape. Thanks for admitting.

If the genders were reversed, it would be rape.

It is rape because a 13 year old is not old enough to give consent.

JPP Libs high fiving each other

If Jerry Sandusky was a female and the victims were little boys ....Libs hi fiving each other

Seriously, shut the fuck up. You can't even comment on child sexual abuse without trying to annoy libs. You're such a worthless life.

I never said that. The point is posters here have been calling her a rapist.

Under the law..she is

Do u agree with the law?

Yes. But the word "rape" is a misnomer.

Unfortunately, that's not true, at least not according to the American Heritage Dictionary via Wordnik. Here are the first 3 definitions there:

**
•noun The crime of using force or the threat of force to compel a person to submit to sexual intercourse.

•noun The crime of using force or threat of force to compel a person to submit to some other sexual penetration.

•noun Other unlawful sexual intercourse or penetration, as with an unconscious person or person below the age of or incapable of consent.

**

So the word means everything from brutal force to at least one of the parties not being legally able to consent in whatever jurisdiction they find themselves.

Which brings up another question- what is it called when both parties aren't able to legally consent. Are they "raping" each other?

I think we can agree that it would be far better if they were to call it unlawful sex, but that's the law (and the dictionary) for you -.-
