Even the WaPo admits Trump deregulation had nothing to do with Ohio train derailment

The Left's outrageous lie that the recent Ohio train derailment was caused by his deregulation is just that, and even the Trump hating Washington Post admits it.

WaPo Review of ‘Every Possible Regulatory Change’ Made Under Trump Found NONE Contributed to Ohio Train Derailment

In the wake of the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, former President Donald Trump faced criticism for his efforts to roll back regulations that numerous commentators blamed for the disaster. But a review by Glenn Kessler at The Washington Post of the regulatory changes passed by the Trump administration found that none of them could be shown to have contributed to the Feb. 3 accident.

The Post, frequently attacked by the former president as “fake news,” is certainly no pro-Trump propaganda outlet, lending credibility to Kessler’s analysis, which “examine[d] every possible regulatory change made under Trump that could be related to the accident and assess whether it could have made an impact.”

The WaPo's "fact checker" Glenn Kessler, an openly Trump hating Leftist, admits he can't find any way to blame Trump for this accident....

The fact is trains are a lot more dangerous due to railroad lobbying and bribes. Arguing whether this specific incident is due to Trump, misses the point. Trump did rescind regulations that would have made trains safer. Regulations protect you.

Saying that as a blanket statement is absolutely false. Can regulations protect us? For sure. Can we overregulate or pass bad regulations that have the unintended consequences of making things more dangerous or causing more harm? 100%!

Didn't you come up during a time when the mantra was question everything and question authority? How do people go from that to simply believing everything they are told?

I did not say every single regulation protects you. Out of the thousands of them, there must be some that are bad. Regulations protect you. If there are a thousand regs and one does not protect you, or a few do not, it is still fair to say regulations protect you.

Give it up. A couple days ago YOU said it was Trump's fault because the train couldn't stop before the wheel bearing failed. Just give it up and find another issue to cry about. You lost this one.

Not all regulations make things better. In some cases, they can make things worse, or simply alter the situation in unexpected and negative ways. Anyone who believes every regulation the government makes will improve things is an utter and complete, oblivious fool.

Sure. Segregation and Jim Crow laws were implemented to protect us. Single family zoning to keep undesirables out of your neighborhood protect you. Laws creating excessive barriers to entry protect existing businesses and hurt the new guy. We could go on and on and on.

An example of stupid regulation is fishing for red snapper. You have to have a minimum of 17 inches. But Red Snappers are deep water fish so when you pull them up it tends to damage their swim bladders and a majority of fish that are thrown back will die. The law should be the first five fish you catch you must keep with a five fish limit. No throwing fish back.

Local regulations and national safety regulations are not the same things.

Regulations (in the name of protecting us) are regulations whether done at the local, state or national level.

You’re making an ideological statement (regulations protect you) renter than a factual one.

Trump did roll back the regulations.

Cope.

Holy Strawman!!!

Oh please cope.

Trump did roll back regulations.

Again, so? What's your point? Trump rolled back regulations. So? Not all regulations are necessary or positive things. Many are costly blunders, others do nothing useful. Getting rid of worthless and useless regulations is a good thing.

The point is it made it worse for business's profit's sake.
