When the foreperson of the Georgia grand jury investigating election interference by Donald Trump in the 2020 election went public, she immediately found an eager and receptive audience.

Emily Kohrs, in a series of media interviews, offered up provocative details about key witnesses and charging recommendations potentially involving a dozen or so people.

Asked whether that list contained the name of the former president, Kohrs told NBC News: “Potentially. It might.”

While the special grand jury, which completed an eight-month inquiry in December, has no authority to issue indictments, Kohrs’ public comments in multiple interviews pierced a veil of secrecy that traditionally guards such investigations.

Atlanta-area District Attorney Fani Willis will make the final charging decisions, but legal analysts said Kohrs’ public comments were at a minimum highly unusual for any grand jury inquiry and, at most, not particularly helpful to any potential case the district attorney may bring.

“I’m not aware of any other case in Georgia in which a grand juror has spoken with the media about witnesses appearing before the grand jury,” said Clark Cunningham, a Georgia State University law professor who has closely followed the investigation.....

Emily Kohrs pierced a veil of secrecy that traditionally guards investigations. This woman is a liberal idiot. She even discussed testimony and deliberations. This is just bizarre. If the DA doesn't throw this whole thing out and start over then we will know for sure that he does not intend to be fair.

Case is compromised, out it goes! :awesome:

In all reality it was bullshit from the jump.

I expect that DA will be asked to step down or be forcefully removed.

At least if there's any integrity left in GA law. I'm thinking there was not too long ago.

No, it is not. It was a fact-finding jury. They found many people who should be charged criminally. Mostly for perjuring themselves to protect Donald and themselves. The DA now has to seat a GJ to determine if charges should be brought.

This special select Grand Jury has no bearing on anything. The District attorney can throw their report in the trash and never look at it again, should she choose to do so. Special select Grand Juries looks at evidence and makes recommendations for indictments only.

Obviously, in Georgia, there is no law to prevent jurists to talk to the press at the conclusion of the hearing. They do however, have rules as to what can be reported to the press.

The report itself is public property, but, here again, certain text may be redacted so as to not make targets and sources public.

I am just glad the Special Select Grand Jury is over, and now a grand jury can be assembled to review the report and send out the indictments, should they act on the recommendations.

This thing has dragged on for too long now.

She shouldn't have talked like she did.

But we're still a country of laws. This shouldn't be some sort of "get out of jail free" card.

Waste of time and taxpayer money. Misusing government power for political purposes.

She followed the rules. This is simply media hype.

She is cringy, but didn’t break the rules.

They better hope this thing doesn't get logged into history.

You're outta your mind, and you are NOT a lawyer.

I know several lawyers, well..one less than before, but OK..

Yeah, we talk. I know you're full of shit when you claim to be a lawyer.

It's not up to the DA to throw it out. It's up to the DA to try to make a winnable case within the law about it.

I don't see it getting past the 1st time in front of a judge. If the DA decides to pursue this thing. The judge will toss it and the State legislature will probably remove her if she does.

GA is next door to AL, remember that. Also remember that they probably still have slaves in AL. Oh, they don't call them that now, but they are, just the same.

GA has a lot more racism than..47 of the other states.

It's a bit of a culture shock going from FL to those states. Lotta racism and even modern day slavery?! Wtf?!

It's not like that in FL. SC is the other one, I think, don't quote me on that.

Doubt it.

So you believe that Bribing, Threatening, or trying to Corrupt state government officials into breaking the law should be legal?

I suppose you feel that Laws are just for Democrats to follow huh?

Next!

Democrats don't follow laws. We know what will make them get in line with the American way, though.

Hilarious sissy fit response!

Reality knockin', stupid moolie.

Democrats aren't going to be able to corrupt everything just like that. This nation wasn't built by current day Democrats or the things they espouse..at all.

Keep that in mind. ;)

Our laws were NOT written by modern day Democrat communists.

And courts? They have to follow the law.

Our Founding Fathers were damn ingenious and tried to make this thing idiot-proof. But then there's idiots like you.

Furthermore, there's a Communist movement trying to take over America. Aside from all the globalist incursion, too!
