New peak rates mean charging electric cars more expensive than petrol

You will have to REPLACE your batteries in 24 years! That's EXPENSIVE! It will get even MORE expensive as supplies of lithium run low. The price of lithium ore is already going up.

Getting cars charged with energy that people can afford is going to be a humongous cause of stress and other life degradation.

Our Over-Lords dont and wont care.

Board member Joke Capitalist for one. He's a True Believer in radical Leftist insanity like EV's and no matter how much evidence you provide, he, like some evangelical bible thumping religious zealot, will deny every bit of it because it goes against his insane beliefs in radical Leftist Greentard dogma.

You have to understand, the Greentards are going to FORCE you into these things even if they have to kill you in the process. They don't care. They quite literally are religious zealots of the worst sort.

What is your alternative to fossil fuels?

How much was your POS Bolt? 35k?

Why do you ask? Mine is not for sale. Sorry.

I have and will never spent 35k at once on a one time purchase that supports child labor

You think that EV's are the ONLY thing our friends overseas use child labor for? LOL. You really are a simp.

i will not spend nowhere near 35k on lithium batteries in my life time or even 3 life times

Given your salary I'm sure you couldn't spend $35K on anything even if you WANTED TO.

:)

i paid 35k for my Town Car in 2000

u live with your parents

Wow. I'm so impressed you have a 24 year old car that has never had any part of its engine replaced not once!

I think I'm starting to rethink my view of "miracles"

It's not rocket science. Simple maintenance will make an engine last for hundreds of thousands of miles. It's not a "miracle," just common sense.

Is it not unusual for a diesel to go hundreds of thousands of miles?

I can replace the engine in my Town Car with a new Jasper engine for 3500.00 comes with a nation wide 100k warranty

In a span of 25 years u will replace an EV at least 3 times if lucky ...maybe 4 times at a cost of 40k each for the cheapest one thats 120k for the 25 years

My Town Car has lasted 24 years so far and cost me 35k and i see no reason it would not last another 24 years..It has plenty of room for 5 will carry tons of luggage and if it hits a Chevy Bolt would splatter it

$3500? Holy shit! My 427 Side Oiler bare block cost $4600, and that's before it's been machined!

and u are stuck, cant drive 150 miles from your home

i drove to Lake of the Ozarks, a few weeks ago for a 3 night cabin stay ..420 mile round trip non stop for gas. cost me 40.00..It was super cool to be able to do that...You cant!

When I got back took me a mere 3 mins to recharge the car and Im still running on that recharge going on 3 weeks....Next week I will have to take another 3 mins and recharge at any of the 20+ stations within 5 miles from my house

Horseshit. There are charging stations everywhere. Ford, alone has 70,000 nationwide. You're just shitting on EV's because you think that decreasing our carbon footprint is a "lib" endeavor. You're so fucking ignorant.

I'd love to see some EV driver do this one. I got a side job to go to Winslow AZ (Yea, the one from the song--) and inspect an office building for electrical issues. I drove from Phoenix to Prescott AZ to stop by a friend's house there before going to Winslow, then back to Phoenix all in one day. That was about a 500 mile round trip all in one day. Try doing that in your EV. The route is almost entirely remote rural territory too. No gas stations, no charging stations, nada, nothing, zip point shit.

There are plenty of charging stations everywhere. Some are free to use.

They don't have one because they see no need for one. If this were the 1890's and you asked them what their alternative to whale oil was the answer would be the same.

We know what the alternative to electric cars was in the 1890's...
