Top reasons to buy an electric car instead of a gas vehicle. MAGA wets panties.

Viruses' Nirvana

We can get unlimited solar energy through a satellite. Then we'll finally learn the hard way the deadly consequences of reducing auto emissions. Again.

No. Even a satellite is limited on how much solar energy it can collect.
Beaming that energy to Earth presents a load of other problems, not the least is a major safety issue, and you can only transmit energy to a limited degree.

You do realize it is in and is partially in are two different things. The US has an area in the Arctic circle but no one says the US is in the Arctic circle.:palm: So neither the US nor Sweden is in the Arctic circle while they both have land in the Arctic circle. Gwad you Libratard are Morons.

Libratard==> :legion:

You realize, of course, that you are talking to an idiot in full chant mode.

Hilarious.

keep dancin'!

The fact that none of you lot knows what a globe is or can find Sweden on a map is hilarious enough.

The US has more land in the Arctic circle than Sweden has in the Arctic circle. Have you ever heard anyone say the US is in the Arctic circle. Gwad you Libratards are so stupid.

It is not there in the book.

The fictional biography of John Galt was that he went to Patrick Henry University graduating with degrees in physics and philosophy. After graduation, he worked as an engineer at Twentieth Century Motor where he invented a motor that worked with ambient static electricity rather than gasoline. It really is a silly book made up of absolute nonsense, but one of the plot points is electric cars.

Clearly Night has never read the book.

Electric delivery vehicles meet growing demands
As e-commerce sales continue to increase, so does the demand for LDVs.
Walmart will use LDVs to deliver online orders, similarly to how Amazon vehicles transport goods from a fulfillment center to customers.*
There is also potential for these LDVs to deliver for Walmart GoLocal, the retail giant’s version of a delivery service for businesses looking to offer local delivery to customers, like DoorDash and Postmates.
The similarities to Amazon delivery were not accidental –– Amazon dethroned Walmart in sales in the U.S. in 2021.*
Walmart is using its extensive network of stores –– which can reach 80% of Americans with same-day delivery due to its 4,756 stores located across the nation –– to compete with Amazon.*
The decision to purchase a fleet of all-electric vehicles is a way for Walmart to simultaneously meet its 2040 pledge to produce no air pollution while meeting growing demands for online shopping.*
A report by Shopify projects that worldwide retail e-commerce sales will surpass $6.3 billion by 2024, over a $2 billion increase since 2020.
Online shopping will only become more prevalent in the coming years, and more stores will have to evolve to meet the demands of our current “need it now” mindset caused by rapid delivery services.*
Cost benefits of an electric delivery fleet
Costs for fuel have been soaring nationwide.*
These high prices are burdening both individuals and corporations. A fleet of all-electric vehicles reduces delivery costs because there is virtually no fuel cost for LDVs.*
And given that fuel is one of the highest operating costs for fleets, electric vehicles will cut delivery costs without cutting corners.
LDVs also reduce maintenance costs because electric vehicles use fewer fluids. Gasoline-powered vehicles, on the other hand, require the same fluids and the addition of oil changes, transmission flushes, and other engine fluid replacements, causing maintenance fees to be far more expensive for gas-powered cars than electric vehicles.
Electric delivery vans help people and the planet, too
The most special thing about electric vehicles is that they do not produce any air pollution while driving, whereas gasoline-powered cars do.*
Even when accounting for manufacturing, electric vehicles typically produce fewer harmful air pollutants than gasoline-powered vehicles.
Because LDVs do not produce toxic air pollution, they help people with asthma or other respiratory issues breathe more easily. LDVs also help cool the planet by not contributing to the harmful air pollution that traps heat in the atmosphere and causes sweltering temperatures and more intense extreme weather events in our communities.*
Walmart is one of many retailers adding electric vehicles to its delivery fleet to reduce spending on fuel, meet growing demands for online shopping, and create a cooler future where we can all breathe a little more easily.

Tesla (TSLA) is currently experiencing “unprecedented demand” in the US following the significant price cuts that happened last week.
Many stores are hitting new records and inventories are dwindling.

Last week, Tesla implemented massive price cuts of up to $13,000 on Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in the US.
A week later, Electrek can confirm that the price cuts are working in doing just that.
Sources familiar with the matter told Electrek that many Tesla stores in North America had reached their new record for sales in a single week. One source familiar with Tesla’s sales said that the company is experiencing “unprecedented demand” in North America following the price cuts.
Tesla saw similar action in China after price cuts there.
The inventory is decreasing at a record rate in several key US markets. As for new custom orders, Tesla will likely run out of build slots for the North American market in the next few days.
That usually doesn’t happen until much later in a quarter.

The price cut is what I was waiting for. Model Y LR ordered over the weekend. M3 owner currently, my son is almost as tall as I am, so we need a bigger vehicle for fitting the family. Still no other viable options on the market that tick the boxes for price, range, size, software, and charging network...so the Y is what we ordered.

EVs do produce pollution to charge them. Indeed they are only about half as efficient as gasoline cars.

Define 'toxic air pollution'.

Did you know that EVs have transmissions? Did you know they also use oil and coolant?
Did you know that there are NO significant differences of maintenance between EV's and gasoline cars that are less than a few years old?

Amazon uses mostly trucks powered by diesel or gasoline.
So does Walmart.
ALL vehicles filling their warehouses are diesel.

You cannot trap heat.
Heat has no temperature.
No gas or vapor is capable of warming the Earth. You are still ignoring the 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics.

Greenbacks Backed by Black Gold

We should have taken Greenland as a reward for saving the gutless Danish pastry-makers from the Nazis. Then we'd have even more Arctic territory, plus billions of barrels of oil reserves. Because of the tree-huggers, the not-so-Great Danes are letting all that stick in the primordial mud slime.

Imagine a Plute's Boot Stomping on Your Face, Forever

The only important thing, just because it is never allowed to be discussed, is that even as an employee he should have owned 50% of the corporate patent on that invention, which wouldn't have existed at all without him.

Ayn Rand was unintentionally right about one thing, though. All the Commies in her novel were HeirHeads. That's impossible only because the hereditary ruling class says it is and we listen to that guillotine-fodder because we have been manipulated into being wannabe Preppies who hate our Daddies for not getting rich and setting us up halfway to the finish line.

Top reasons to buy an electric car instead of a gas vehicle

https://apple.news/AhnCrlmP2T1SKYR18k-wChg

I've driven electric cars from Tesla, Audi, Porsche, Hyundai, Kia, Volkswagen, Rivian, and more.*

EVs offer tons of benefits over gas cars that have nothing to do with being green.

Electric rides are quick, fun, spacious, and brimming with cutting-edge features.*
After driving well over a dozen new electric cars, I'm convinced that one is in my future.*
To be sure, there are real challenges to buying and owning an electric vehicle today. They're quite expensive to buy new and hard to find used. Charging infrastructure is immature enough that it can pose a challenge on long road trips.
But the many advantages of EVs are tough to ignore.*
EVs are quick, fun, and quiet

Almost all EVs, from budget Chevys to sporty Audis, have more pep in their step than comparable gas cars. They deliver instant, brisk acceleration that helps immensely with quick merges and the like. And besides the practical benefits, being able to shoot forward at a moment's notice is just plain fun.*
They're also super quiet and smooth on the road, since you don't hear the grumble of an engine or feel its vibrations. Particularly in high-end models like the Mercedes-Benz EQS, the experience is serene.*
They're packed with interesting features

Electric cars are where you'll find the latest in automotive tech and novel features you didn't think you needed.*
Teslas, for example, have a dog mode that keeps the air on for your pet and a sentry mode that records any fishy behavior near your car. The Chevy Bolt EUV offers Super Cruise, an excellent hands-free driving system for highways. The Mercedes EQS has an optional 56-inch array of screens that should make tech lovers salivate.*

The Kia EV6 boasts a couple of power outlets, while the Ford F-150 Lightning can offload enough electricity to power a house for days.
They offer cool storage solutions and spacious interiors

Since electric cars lack bulky components like an engine and transmission, automakers enjoy lots of flexibility to add extra interior room for people and stuff.*
Take the Ioniq 5 SUV, for example. Hyundai stretched its wheels far out to either end, boosting passenger comfort. Like many EVs, it has a totally flat floor (with no hump running down the middle) which does wonders for legroom. And it has a unique, sliding center console that lets owners decide when to free up more space in back or up front.*

The Rivian R1T pickup truck has an awe-inspiring gear tunnel, a transverse storage cubby behind the rear seats that's accessed from either side of the vehicle. The F-150 Lightning, among other electric models, offers a giant front trunk. Tesla's Model Y pairs a frunk with generous under-floor storage in back.*

Charging can be more convenient than getting gas
Once you get the hang of charging, it can actually be less of a hassle than filling up on gas. If you have a garage or driveway, you can plug in an EV at home overnight and wake up with a full charge in the morning. And while you run errands or travel, you can often find chargers to add a little juice while you're out and about.
Yes, an EV needs to sit for a long while to charge — much longer than a typical fuel stop — but consider how much of the day your car is sitting anyway.*

For example, while I spent the day skiing last winter, I left the Polestar 2 I was reviewing plugged into a free charger at the mountain and came back to a nearly full battery. Charging will only get more streamlined as more plugs sprout up in parking lots, offices, and on city streets.*
All these advantages, plus the huge benefit of not burning fossil fuels, make EVs a clear choice for many buyers.

By the 2030's most American car companies have pledged to go all electric. At which time, we can tell the fucking Saudis to pound sand <--- this reason this is a pun is because there's a lot of sand in Saudi Arabia.
