It's like Trump giving his base a Roofie, OR SLIPPING THEM A MICKEY, and then him having his unscrupulous ways with them, dragging them down into the sewer with him.

THANK GOD, THERE ARE JUST ENOUGH GOOD SAMARITAN REPUBLICANS, THAT HAVE FINALLY SOBERED UP, AND HAVE TURNED ON TRUMP NOW, AND WANTING TO DO WHATEVER DAMAGE CONTROL THEY HAVE TO DO TO SAVE THEIR PARTY.

Over 300 of them have written books about Trump, exposing his evilness, and they are some of the best sellers on the book market.

And all this is helping the Democrats win elections. YET SOME OF THE DIEHARD TRUMP CULTISTS ARE STILL DRUNK ON HIM AND WANDERING AROUND IN A FOGGY SWAMP!

Considering that Trump vocally supports him you'd figure the "Trumppers" would too... Personally, I think he's just jumping in front of a parade and calling himself the leader, there really isn't a good alternative. The goal here (again just my opinion) is likely to get it done in one vote, and they are leveraging their vote to guarantee a few things (like investigations and some rules changes).
