Yes, they adopted it in 2012, which replaced the TAKS testing. But, we are talking about all the same things here. They just change the names of the tests.

The*PSAT/NMSQT*is a*standardized test*that 11th graders (and some 10th graders) take in October. Like the*SAT, it measures the knowledge and skills in reading, writing, and math students learn in the classroom—the same knowledge and skills your child needs to succeed in college and career. High Schoolers that are applying for scholarships take it.

I've been saying for years that to graduate from HS you should be required to take the SAT and get a score of 500+ on both sections. Only 5% of blacks could do that.
