This is not over....right now ESG motivated investors are pressuring the railroads to stop abusing labor. The workers simply want the problems solved, they dont care how it happens.

Railroads have been abusing labor for years, and it is a dangerous line of work...so why would anyone sign up to do it after management systematically destroyed the safety culture that had been built over about 100 years?

It looks to me that what has happened is that the union bosses capitulated to Revolution pressure to make a deal because America cant deal with a strike, we have way too many major problems already. That does not mean that the membership will approve it. Note that before the tentative deal was announced the railroads were already in the process of shutting down.

Biden had that talk with the Railroad people! There are better times to strike when our country is still mired in supply chain issues left over from the pandemic shut downs.
