Senate approves historic legislation to protect same-sex marriages

Abortion has been around forever. It was never a problem until the Christian taliban made it one. States should not have the power to legislate personal harmless choice and make it a crime.

It’s not harmless to the unborn infant who is murdered.

There never was an enumerated right for abortion in the Constitution.

All those tens of millions of infants who were murdered under Roe were murdered under a false interpretation of the Constitution.

in whose eyes?

what part of the Constitution gives any government entity the power to legislate morality?

all laws are premised on some kind of morality.

morality is rational not necessarily religious....

do you acccept laws against murder as a valid function of government? that's morality of a sort.

Laws in this nation are not written by God, but by Man............so the eyes of God are irrelevant in anything but the church.

which is just another example of why governments should not be in the business of dictating the daily activities of people.

You asked, “in whose eyes.”

I answered you.

Many of our laws are based on Biblical mandates, the Ten Commandments.”

that isn't an answer, that's just an acceptance of traditional history. resting your hat on that as an answer says some things about your ability to think for yourself

Calling yourself “Smarterthanyou” says some things about your ability to think for yourself.

lol...no....pretending something is not real and that you can think for yourself is fine.......until you start passing laws that everyone needs to pay attention to what YOU have decided to think for yourself.......by ignoring what the demmycunts have decided IS thinking for myself.....you are the one who has surrendered to lib'rul hive thought.......

morality is subjective...........and yes, rational. The laws that surround morality should only be aimed at preventing harm to others.

they align with them, but are not based on them. many people who do believe in God still kill. They still covet and commit adultery.

the last 14 years here, even the last few months, should show you the stupidity of your belief about my surrendering.............That it hasn't, that you've fallen prone to doing the same exact thing that the lib'ruls here do tells us all that you don't think for yourself, that you just react.

No, they are based on them.

The fact that many people who do believe in God still kill, covet and commit adultery is meaningless. They have violated God’s mandates and those who marry the same sex have violated God’s mandates.

and is it a requirement of civilization to follow all of Gods laws/mandates?
