Don't worry, Soc. The public school bit is SM's standard answer anytime someone brings up the priests molesting the altar boys.
He doesn't condemn the priests and the system that enabled them. He points fingers elsewhere. He ignores the fact that the catholic church worked hard and spent millions in order to hide these pedophiles in robes.
Neg reps to both for baseless allegations.there are a lot of racist like southern man in Louisiana, they think as long as they themselves are not holding the black man back there's no discrimination going on.
I hope they sue and kick this guys but, La needs several legal setbacks to get it's head out of the last century.
Link? You do not know this is true as the catholic church engaged in a criminal conspiracy to conceal the id's of Priests involved in molesting children. Your sitting pope wrote a letter telling parishes to conceal them until the statute of limitations ran. If this had happened in the Boy Scouts of America, the leader of BSA would be in prison.
It is against the law to deny a marriage licence or refuse to marry someone because of race. .....
He claimed that he did it out of concern for the children, not race. This isn't one of those things. ....

By the way, before you get your panties in a wad about this, I don't defend this guy either way.
Since there is no record of a priest where I grew up experiencing an unexplained death apparently not....Did the priests do bad things to you, SM?...
The Sentiment is much appreciated my friend. I would have gladly done the counciling.I would have performed a wedding for you...provided you & your bride agreed to sit through 2-30 min. counseling sessions. The JOP in this article is a goober...that's all I have to say about that.

Fact is though that you bash Catholics for this while ignoring other denominations, public schools and other places where adults are supervising children while providing no evidence that The Church incidents occur at a greater occurrence, and no evidence that of a greater percentage of cover-ups.

I just gave you a positive one to make for the moron's neg rep.
Quite obviously you did indeed strike a nerve.
Prove it....The public school system does not do that. ...
One for you for getting it wrong.I just gave you a positive one to make for the moron's neg rep.

In my younger days in Boston and New York I can recall several incidents where an offending driver antagonized The Southern Man into a out-of-car conflict. Each time I quickly accepted the challenge and each time the offender subsequently backed down.... I bet you even beat people up who cut you off in traffic. ....
In 2001, while he was a cardinal, he issued a secret Vatican edict to Catholic bishops all over the world, instructing them to put the Church's interests ahead of child safety.Link?

You referenced an article about a TV program that makes accusations. Where's the evidence? In 2001, while he was a cardinal, he issued a secret Vatican edict to Catholic bishops all over the world, instructing them to put the Church's interests ahead of child safety.
Father Tom Doyle, a Vatican lawyer until he was sacked for criticising the church's handling of child abuse claims, says: "What you have here is an explicit written policy to cover up cases of child sexual abuse by the clergy and to punish those who would call attention to these crimes by the churchmen.

If you're not prepared to back up your claim that there were no cover-ups by public schools then it is baseless. You want me to prove what they did not do?
