Violent crime, is it up?
No question! On one hand San Francisco is one of the most amazing cities in the world. The reality though is we have a large number of drugged out/mentally ill people who live here. It’s a struggle where I try and teach my daughter to have compassion and empathy for those on the street vs the reality of mentally ill people will attack you for no reason and you better be aware.
I’m sure we’ll find out the full story here shortly but mentally ill people committing violent acts is not an uncommon occurrence in these parts.
Anyone here remember in 2017 how the Right on this forum lost their ever-loving-mines when there was a a Shooting at a Congressional Softball Game?
Hummm I wonder if they’re still around?![]()
The numbers of unstable individuals seems to have risen everywhere in the last few years, suppose it is a sign of the times, things move to fast, too much information, many can’t adapt. And, as I said, the city has always prided itself on “freedom,” what better place for a lost soul to relocate
I told you, move to New England, cash in your SF holdings and relocate to the Maine coast, lobster instead of crab, no big time college football, but haven’t seen a lot of that on the West Coast in quite awhile
That's not what the real numbers were according to your article. But then again you dummycrats aren't very good with numbers. For example Biden said his 3.5 trillion dollar spending bill would cost nothing. He also said gasoline was $5 a gallon when he took office.![]()
You think this was cataclysmic?

I am surprised your account is still active today, some of the posts they just read out on Foxnews sound a lot like your posts.
By no means does SF have a monopoly on mentally ill people. But unless you are here it's hard to fathom the amount. I'm sure many people are thinking it's exaggerated or maybe there's like one or two blocks where it's really bad and that's it. People who live here a long time internalize it. It's the shock on visitors faces that reawaken you to the reality of it. And because so many people continue to work from home and aren't returning to the office the homeless/drugged/mentally ill are even more prominent on the streets.
There's nothing made up about this. There's a reason so many people have left and/or are thinking about it. It is very common to hear "I love the City but I just can't take it anymore". Again, it's hard for outsiders to fully understand.
From what I'm reading he has been known to be mentally-ill for quite a long time. At one time he allegedly made hemp bracelets and lived in a storage facility unit.
San Francisco is a beautiful city. I hope to return some day; was only there for a few days in 1969 as a teen. Your problem is your beautiful weather. Homeless come there because it's easier to live outside most or all of the year. Even so, cities with horrible weather -- even Anchorage, AK -- have a homeless problem. I sure don't know what to do about it.
Oh, the "real numbers."
They don't write articles stating that over 50% of Republicans believe at least some of QAnon if it's really under 5%. You cherrypicked a single line from those articles to get to that conclusion. It was embarrassing, and a lie.
As I've said - and as has been corroborated - a significant # of Republicans believe at least some or all of the QAnon theories.
It's funny you say beautiful weather because everyone always references the quote attributed to Mark Twain about 'the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco'. Now I personally love that it's often cold here as opposed to LA where its beautiful year round but that's just me. (I'm talking SF specifically. You can go to the suburbs and get different microclimates.)
People often attribute the weather to the homeless problem but I don't know how accurate that is. You'll often hear homeless come here for the good weather but data shows most of the people on the streets are local; not out of towners.
Do you need some more sources? Or is this one of those "Don't matter what you say, he's gonna stay stupid" moments? lol
A Quarter of Republicans Believe Central Views of QAnon Conspiracy Movement
Majority Of Republicans Believe The QAnon Conspiracy Theory Is Partly Or Mostly True, Survey Finds
Both of these sites are neutral or right-leaning.
That's sad. Is it also true that walking on the sidewalks is difficult because of all the ppl laying around, and also human shit? Are the touristy places that way too, or does the city try to keep that nice so tourists keep coming?
Didn't know that, thanks for clarifying. So what else is making me perceive that it's worse than other major cities? The price of housing? Price of housing plus weather plus proximity to services?
We were in SF in July. Wonderfully cool and pleasant. Watching the afternoon fog bank roll in across the Bay was unforgettable.
How many times have we heard Biden saying he wanted to "take Trump behind the gym and beat the hell out of him"Can anyone name a President who was as openly encouraging of violence as Trump?
Always in that "Trump" way, where he could try to say he was joking. But we know now how much command he has over his loyal, almost unthinking supporters.
We're just in a different America now. This is an individual act - but we also see the huge increases in threats against not only politicians, but election workers and media.

Democrat politicians have been doing nothing but inciting violence in this country for the last 8 years or so. They condoned and allowed riots, violence, destruction of property, the list goes on. Then they started no bail, letting criminals out, etc.
As usual they never think the consequences of such stupidity will ever come back and bite them. It always does. The only sad thing about this is Nancy was not home. If she was I am certain the United States would be a better place today minus one stupid politician.
