Republicans need to stop talking the economy down

I get that it's a campaign season - but they're hurting economic prospects, and also hurting working Americans.

We've added over 9 million jobs since Biden took office. The unemployment rate is LOW. Just today, growth and earnings news exceeded expectations, and the market has been going up.

It is FAR from perfect - obviously, inflation. But wages are also low, and other indicators aren't where they need to be.

But this is not the disaster Republicans portray it as. And it's time for them to stop talking that way - because the rhetoric has real-world impact.

I cannot believe someone would post a thread this asinine right now.

At a time when almost everything you buy is double or more the price it was and inflation is skyrocketing due to Biden policy. Only 25 days of diesel supply going into winter, heating oil rationing, likely there will be fuel shortages soon.

Here's where it all started:

On day 1 of the installed Biden potatohead regime. He's a potatohead, but those pulling his strings are doing this deliberately.

People will die from exposure and starvation this winter because of that. :|

So basically you're suggesting if nothing is said then people won't realize they are paying more at the pump, the store, restaurants, for travel etc. etc.?

I know there are rich people who post here but I can't be the only one, or maybe I am, who doesn't have F U money and pays attentions to prices and recognizes how much more I'm paying?

CBRE is the largest firm in my industry. They just announced lower earnings and the CEO spoke about a sharp deterioration in the macro enviroment and the capital markets weakened materially. I mean should he be saying none of this? Is that considered talking down the economy?

Point out what isn't factual in the OP.

Do you even shop for groceries? How about buy diesel fuel, huh?!

As the price of diesel goes, so goes the economy, and diesel is over $5/gal right now, with shortages and rationing imminent. When diesel stops, everything stops, you can bank on that.

Empty shelves at the stores. Idk what bubble you live in, but you're absolutely oblivious.

Maybe you don't pay for your own groceries, idk.. :dunno:

There are a number of scared lefties that now realize the abortion issue is a non factor so, in a last ditch attempt, they screech that everything is fine and crime, the border, runaway inflation, decimated 401k's, much elevated chance of World War, trillions of $ spent and much of it stolen by fraud, are really not happening.
So we are, and will continue be loaded with more bullshit like this asshat thread,

https://www.justplainpolitics.com/showthread.php?195842-Sorry-Trumptards-we-aren-t-in-a-recession

Fun to watch because it is falling on deaf ears except for their fellow panicked malcontents.

Yeah, nobody's gonna be voting for the assholes that more than doubled the price of almost everything. Fuck that! :nono:

Biden's worse than Carter was, and no one voted for Democrats for 12 years after that.

Biden is so bad, I think this time it will be 20 years, maybe even another party formed.

and you fuck stains are trying to do the same thing in Pennsylvania - hide your piece of craps until the voters don't realize what they did

HOLY FUCK ARE YOU STUPID.

That would mean inflation was 100%. You get that right? Never mind, of course you don't. Go find some fraudulent votes are something and STFU.

Now, that was in April, this is October and it's only gotten worse. With all your alleged millions, you're not going to be able to buy any food if it simply isn't there to be bought. Think on that a minute. ;)

Hey genius, inflation on many essential items is way more than 100% but thanks for your contribution.

C'mon, cawacko - that's a poor characterization of what I said.

I acknowledged in the OP that we're far from perfect. People are still hurting. But Republicans constantly making this sound like a disaster only makes things worse - that is the point of the OP.

 YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING!!

Americans KNOW who fucked up the economy..SAME FUCKHEADS WHO DESTROYED IT WTH MANDATED LOCKDOWNS.

The DUNCE-O-CRATS will not escape the consequences for their idocy.

Like I said to cawacko - this isn't a "the economy is awesome!" thread. Read the OP again.

Party that crashed the economy?

Bush Sr. left office w/ a recession. Clinton led us to the greatest prosperity we've known. Bush Jr. left with a total crash and the economy in a downward spiral. Obama led us to the longest recovery in modern times. Trump left office as the worst jobs President in modern history. Biden has added 9 million jobs.

I think his point is very salient. Consumer confidence impacts the economy, and Republicans are screaming that the sky is falling. That hurts the economy, but they are not interested in an honest discussion, because as you can see here, they have fooled ignorant supporters into believing that prices have doubled. You can't make this up. Of course these are the same people that believe the election was stolen, so they aren't the brightest bulbs, but they do have an impact, and what the Republican party is doing is malpractice. It is what it is.

They have no economic plan. Here's what they want to do, and they aren't even hiding it:

Make it harder to vote.
Take away women's reproductive rights
Vote against raising the debt ceiling
Cut Social Security and Medicare
Legislate morality, especially for gays and transgender people.

Don't believe it? I can back up every single one of those claims. There is nothing else, except, you know, impeaching Biden. Republicans are now the party of Herschel Walker, Kari Lake, Ron Johnson, J.D. Vance. I saw the Republican candidate for Governor in Wisconsin. What did he say was the most important thing he'd do? Restore election integrity. In other words, restore something that is already in place. Maybe he can rail against Harry Potter trying to change election results. That's where the Republican party stands. I'm sorry for you, you will probably vote for some of them. I wouldn't vote for a Republican for dogcatcher. Just on principle. I believe they are destroying democracy. A digression, yes, but it needs to be said.

Please be specific. Did I lie about the jobs #'s?

Clinton set the housing bubble in motion with Fannie Mae and Freddie MAC. Bush just ignored it like a dumbass, or maybe it was deliberate and they were in cahoots. :dunno:

This sums it up for me. I wish more people realized it.

The current GOP is an "emperor who has no clothes" party. They're offering no alternative vision, or plan that would "fix" our issues.

Those jobs go poof when there's not enough heat or fuel or food for everybody; And that's what they've set up to happen. :palm:

Jobs "coming back" from zero jobs is not an accomplishment, dumbass.

Just like the Obama economy. Starting out from zero when the only way to go is up is not an accomplishment.

And it went up so anemically it was terrible.
