Portugal is certainly not classical liberal. It mostly different flavors of socialists with a smattering of statist conservatives.
I am not kidding. The two biggest parties are the Socialist Party, and the Social Democrats Party. The Social Democrats are far to the left of the America's Democrats, and then the Socialists are far to the left of them. The minor parties include the Communist Party, and People-Animals-Nature Party(a real party, with real seats in their legislature). The only parties to the right of the Social Democrats are even more statist than the Socialists.
You can get the death penalty in Singapore for having a gun, and shooting it... Not at someone, but just shooting it. Guns are extremely forbidden in Singapore.
After the Nong Bua Lam Phu Massacre, where a drugged out ex-police officer, hacked to death about three dozen people, the Thai Government has declared war on drugs. Several thousand extrajudicial killings have already happened. Cannabis among tourists is mostly ignored, but sometimes the tourist will be kidnapped and either tortured for money, or tortured to get family to send money. When a local is caught with drugs, there are extrajudicial killings, but also court ordered executions.
But I suppose things are different if one is involved with stealing locals land and selling it to the Chinese.

Whenever trump's numbers started to tank during his term, trump would make up stories about "caravans coming from mexico bringing terrorists and rapists". It worked on his low-minded supporters.
Yeah, why not Spain? It's right next door. Actually I've been to both countries, we lived in Spain when I was a kid and we did visit Portugal, my folks had friends that lived in Lisbon. Portugal was fine, I just don't speak Portuguese.
Have they solved the smog problem in Mexico City? I was there when I was a kid and it was horrible!

Especially Seville.

Portugal has its merits but Spain is an enchanted country. The Costa Del Sol area is beautiful.
