Moving to Mexico!?

Because a pompous arrogant supercilious twat, that's why.

Well that goes without saying. He rarely engages me, so why is he telling me of all people that “ Portugal is ranked the 12th most liberal country on the planet. Anyone hostile to liberal policies should consciously avoid it.”

Same with Walt. He never engages me. Now he’s telling me Singapore has strict gun laws. Is he encouraging me to live in Singapore?

Two peas in a pod, arrogant tossers.

Portugal is liberal in some ways but bear in mind it's still heavily influenced by the Catholic church.

You're a conservative who dreams of moving to one of the most liberal nations on the planet.

Liberalism in another country ≠ liberalism in America.
I seriously doubt those countries have D.A.’s and mayors that condone and in some cases openly support violent criminals.

I’m quite familiar with Germany and an immigrant must pass the Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache to receive Das DSH Sprachzertifikat before working there (which I have done - I worked there). Do we have that in America? I’m sure that would be considered rayciss, especially since those that speak Ebonics couldn’t pass a basic English test that would be as difficult in equivalency to the Deutsch Sprachprüfung
I’m a ‘conservative’ that is for the repeal of the Second Amendment , pro-abortion, and for universal health care. What really gets under your skin is that I’m vehemently anti-crime , especially violent crime. And as we all know, American liberals coddle violent criminals, so in that respect I’m conservative.
My advice to you is to stay put in your crime ridden shit hole of a typical democrat city because your tolerance and embrace of violent criminals would not be accepted in a true liberal European society and especially not in Singapore.

You can get the death penalty in Singapore for having a gun, and shooting it... Not at someone, but just shooting it. Guns are extremely forbidden in Singapore.

I don’t even own a BB gun so I have nothing to be concerned about as to their gun laws.

Lots of em!

Ironic because you’d starve in a liberal European society. Ambulance chasers are basically non-existent there.

Maybe American ‘conservatives’ have more in common with European liberals than American liberals. Think about that.

I’d have to find some other way to make money, and fight for justice. I always say, if insurance companies were fair, I’d find something else to do.

What does it have to do with American conservatives? They do not support single payer systems???

So you approve of socialism in Europe, but you oppose it in America.

That is just bizarre

Oh that's hilarious, after decades of complaining about European socialism, now we have conservatives claiming they basically just like European socialists.

The National Healthcare Service in Portugal provides universal healthcare to all citizens and is funded by taxes.

Remember when Republicans spent decades howling in protest about European socialism -- before they decided they want to move there in this thread?

Leading Republicans Refer to Western Europe as "Socialists"
Lately it seems that not a day goes by without a Republican presidential candidate portraying Europe as a socialist nightmare. Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum paint a picture of the Old World as unfree, strangulated by bureaucratic and inefficient welfare systems, and unable to reform and modernize. To these Republicans, Europe seems to be the antipode to everything America is meant to be.

Leading Republicans Call Western Europe "Socialist"
Newt Gingrich has constantly accused the president of being a "European Socialist", often adding in a reference to an all-but-forgotten community activist from Chicago, who died in 1972, but whose Democratic-leaning writings are thought to have influenced the current president
"I am for the Declaration of Independence; he is for the writing of Saul Alinsky. I am for the Constitution; he is for European socialism," Mr Gingrich told voters in Florida last week.

Bill O'Reilly noted rightwing blowhard: Western Europe is basically socialist
"I received a letter from Rhonda Hallett who lives in Jacksonville, North Carolina asking me to define Bernie's doctrine of Democratic socialism. Ok. That's basically what some countries in western Europe have, a political system that limits personal income through taxation in return for cradle to grave payouts from the governments. That's the trade."

Mike Pence is on record referring to western Europe as "socialist".
when Representative Mike Pence, Republican of Indiana, denounced “European-style socialism,” in his speech at the conference on Thursday, the jeers from the crowd did not exactly signal an openness to debate it on the merits.

. You think that’s bizarre? Here’s another one. I’m probably the only one on this board that’s actually consistent with being pro-choice with what a person can do with their own body.
As far as socialism please provide a post of mine that states I’m against it. Bet you can’t. I’ll be waiting, I have the time. Take all the time you want.

Just STFU. For someone who considers himself The Smartest Person On the Internet you’re sounding more and more like BidenPresident, TDAK, or LV2387598. :palm:

I do this so I'm not speaking from a holier than thou position, but it's like no one is an individual. You're either A or B. You're a Democrat or a Republican. You're a conservative or a Democrat. And once you're labeled either of those you basically all believe the same things.

It's funny because we always hear "go vote", "please vote" etc. And you generally have two choices for each position and if you don't pick one of them you are told you are throwing your vote away or aren't serious or any other number of similar responses. So two people can vote for the same person but have pretty differing viewpoints.

But being individuals without representing some larger group is out.

The prime minister of Portugal is a Socialist

Your ideology is clearly conservative leaning, as indicated by your hundreds of posts on this board.

Why lie about it now?

The leader of Portugal is Antonio Costa, head of the Socialist Party, and prime minister of Portugal since 2015.
