Murder is not an intent crime. It is an act crime. You can be convicted of murder even if you don't willfully intend to kill someone. Voter fraud in Florida is an intent crime.

From the Florida statutes -
 A person who willfully submits any false voter registration information commits a felony of the third degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.

Statutes that don't include intent to be charged can be charged no matter what the intent of the person was. Statutes that include intent require that the intent be shown before the person can be convicted.

Simply making a mistake is not a crime. Try that defense when you accidently exceed the speed limit. My supervisor of elections mails a sample ballot to every registered voter prior to every election. If you loose your right to vote you are notified. Sorry a violation of the law is a violation accidently or not.

Certain crimes, those which carry a punishment of jail, prison or probation, require proof of intent to criminally charge, prosecute and convict.

Simple traffic infractions like exceeding the speed limit are not treated the same as major crimes.

Even vehicular homicide requires some intent to do something illegal that led to someone else's death.

DUI, reckless driving, etc.

A simple accident, even one that kills someone is not a prosecutable criminal offense.

The law against speeding is not an intent crime. It is an act crime. The law against speeding doesn't require the act to be "willful" before it is a crime, it only requires that the act occur.
Try arguing to a judge that someone is guilty of a "willful" crime if they did the act without intent. You will get laughed out of court.,

I am saying the law doesn't have to prove intent to convict someone of speeding. The mere act of speeding is all they have to prove.

When the law requires intent then they have to prove not only the act but the intent of the person doing the act. As was just posted on here about Bannon's appeal, in order to convict Bannon they had to prove intent to violate the law when he refused to respond to the subpoena. They did that and the jury convicted him based on intent. Bannon is trying to argue on appeal that the intent to not honor the subpoena and the act of not honoring the subpoena is not enough to convict him. He is arguing that they also have to prove he knew what he was doing was illegal. Shouldn't you be going to that thread and saying Bannon has watched too many episodes of Matlock? (You are really dating yourself by using Perry Mason references.)

Intent is not impossible to prove. One needs only prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.
It has already been explained to you that murder does not require proving intent to convict. Some laws require intent exist for the crime to occur. Other laws don't require intent. Murder laws are ones where no intent is required which is why the laws don't use the word "willingly" in describing the crime.

If you are told by a person in authority that you can register to vote, are you really going to try to figure out who in state govt. you should call to verify that? Wouldn't you accept it at face value, assume that they know what they're talking about, and that when you go to register if you're not eligible someone will tell you that? Don't you find it interesting that DeSantis's little Voting Gestapo could only find "fraud" by going through the roles of paroled felons and checking to see if any of them had registered and/or voted? And that of all the parolees in FL, they could only find 20 to arrest?

I don't understand why you believe that these ppl intentionally registered and voted fraudulently. If they wanted to go back to prison so bad, aren't there easier ways of doing that?

You confuse general intent and specific intent. General intent only needs to prove the persln did the crime. Specific intent the state has to prove you meant to commit the crime and you did the crime.
Most crimes fall under general intent. Sorry Perry wrong again.
