ACT test scores the lowest in over 30 years

No son. All I do is report actual history. I stand behind everything I just said. You really should come into the light and vote "D", my friend, if there is any sense of wisdom or patriotism left in you.

You’re free to lie like a JPP Trumper. :)

It's what the data shows. You can claim correlation doesn't equal causation but our education system was better when people were more religious.

In reality though this has nothing to do with religion. For starters you keep kids out of school for as long as we did this really isn't surprising. Combine that with lowering of standards under the guise of equity and is it surprising kids aren't doing as well on this test? I'd say not.

In our little “small town Oklahoma” congregation (about 50 people) there are a majority of people holding at least bachelors degrees. We have a PhD (nuclear physics), some LPNs and RNs, 3 or 4 with business degrees … etc.

Then we have the Master Ford Mechanic in the nation. Technically I guess he doesn’t have a degree as such but received his “training” from Okmulgee Technical School. The dude won a Lincoln Navigator and a pretty good cash prize when he won that competition a few years ago. Also, most of our folks without degrees are our elderly, retired folks.

So I do agree with your statement that “our education system was better when people were more religious.” I was able to read by the time I was 5 years old … because we went to church and learned to read the Bible in our Bible classes. My moms read to me and had me read to her at home. Back then it was the old King a James Version. Nothing prepares you to read/study Shakespeare more that having been reading and studying the King James Version of the Bible all your life. I’m not the exception when it comes to this either. I don’t have to tell you but kids who can read early have a great advantage over their counterparts who struggle with it when it comes to school and school work.

Also, if you caught my one response earlier in this thread you saw that I definitely agree with your second paragraph as well. We’re going to be a long time recovering educationally from those 2 1/2 or so years.

Awww.. poor Repubwican cwy. Can't help ya, Tiger. Perhaps someday you're grab a clue. Doing the same thing over and over again (tax cuts) and expecting a different result... well that's insanity.

Thanks for, once again, proving your true heart, youth and inexperience. :)

Surely this means that it is time to outlaw the test. There is no way the students of today are as smart as the students of 30 years ago, the test must have been made easier.

Sending a child to a public skewl is setting them up for abject failure. A life of being ordinary or less. It is child abuse.

Some parents are more concerned about their 6 yr old learning about transsexual butt sex than counting. I see a few on this thread already.

Jesus Christ you have near 100k posts in 2 yrs.......lolololol

Thanks for the early shout that you are as worthless as tits on a bull

To be clear I wasn't actually making the claim that our education system was better because the country was more religious. It definitely could be true but I don't have any data to argue that one way or the other. But it was better when the country was more religious (for those who believe our education system isn't what it used to be).
