The real version always had a nice ring to it. Kind and compassionate. Too bad it was a LIE the day it was written. They were wanted and needed for cheap labor back then,.....just as they are today. They cant very well hang that on the Statue of Liberty though can they. They do. And in truth it pisses me off but NOT for the reasons some may think. IMO any man or woman willing to work hard should be paid the same as anyone else. Are they here illegally? Yes they are. But 2 wrongs dont make a right and it doesnt give unscrupulous business people the right to use them and abuse them. I respect hard work.

We do when we can find them. Good workers,...dont miss work days,...generally very family orientated and are Christians. Some like the cerveza a little too much on weekends but hey...who doesnt! :laugh:

Like I say. The illegals shouldnt me here in the first place so the blame begins with them. But that doesnt give anyone the right to use them and work them like dogs for low pay either.

Let’s be clear.

These illegals who cross our borders illegally and apply for asylum are violating our immigration laws by entering without proper documentation.

Why should we welcome these illegals whose first act upon entering our country, is to violate our laws?

Of course. But those illegals don't care. Usually they get a big wad of cash under the table. They go from job to job. Construction, landscaping, etc. companies would send trucks to pick them up.

We have done just fine in the past with temporary permits to those who want to come and work.

Not looking at the impact of open borders and sanctuary cities has resulted in tens of millions of illegals who have no right to be in America.

Trust me I know. But the WAD of cash they get is normally substantially smaller then the one that legal workers receive.

I don't know about that. Those companies need extras FAST without the hassle so they send trucks to those temp labor places or wherever they congregate and they just jump in the back of trucks and off they go.
