My neighbor 2 doors down from me is an AC repair guy. His Benz and brand new work truck must help him feel better about his vocational choices because he looks quite happy until he runs into a college educated homeowner who thinks they know more than he does.

Because people lie about themselves ALL THE TIME to look better to strangers they're trying to impress.

Also, life experience is filtered through the prism of bias, and are not reliable forms of evidence in a debate and the reason why is because I could just invent a "life experience" that completely and totally contradicts yours and then it would be on you to prove it is false...that's the position you are putting yourself in with these tactics and this strategy of yours.

But I don't do that because that's something only losers do, and I'm not a loser.

I can make an argument without that crutch, but you cannot; and don't feel denigrated because most people on JPP are as incapable as you.

You can't hold a 22 year old out as the example of a humanities major. Why not look at what they did in retrospect by the time they are 40 or 50? A lot of humanities majors become teachers, social workers, some use their degree to get into law school, some work for nonprofits. A 50 year old humanities major is not working at Starbucks or Taco Bell.

It's a pattern and it's pretty easy to pick up on...ultimately, every BoTHSiDerIst and Conservative arguments boils down to personal anecdotes and bias.
