OMG!!! Univ of Penn MEDICAL SCHOOL says blacks can skip taking the MCAT

Of course I can.

Average MCAT Scores:

Whites: 507.5
Blacks: 497.6
Asians: 508.6

Average MCAT Scores for those attending medical school:

Whites: 512.7
Blacks: 505.9
Asians: 514.5

The "passing" score varies by institution based on how selective their admissions policies are.

https://medschoolinsiders.com/pre-m...recent 2021,higher than the average Caucasian.

If you are White or Asian a MCAT score of 505.9 would not even get you an interview.

You're not making sense....the information clearly shows the top number of med school students are whites. So they would have had to "get the interview" to reflect that number. Capice?

Liberals lie about everything. You tell us men can get pregnant and math is racist and serial felon george floyd was a saint. That means all your numbers on black intelligence are inflated. When you say the black IQ is 85 that means 65 though lord knows, 85 is horrible enough.

translation: the sheet wearer cannot logically or factually prove his contention, so he just spews and babbles the usual racist rhetoric.

507 as opposed to 505.....somehow that 2 point variance would take a lot of supposition and conjecture to make up the raw number lead. In other words my little chickadee, you'd have to provide PROOF of that cut off point...otherwise, you're just pissing in the wind. >pew-pew-pew< Carry on.

List of African-American inventors and scientists

This list of African Americans inventors and scientists documents many of the African-Americans who have invented a multitude of items or made discoveries in the course of their lives. These have ranged from practical everyday devices to applications and scientific discoveries in diverse fields, including physics, biology, math, and medicine.

African-Americans have been the victims of oppression, discrimination and persecution throughout American history, with an impact on African-American innovation. A 2014 study by economist Lisa D. Cook linked violence towards African-Americans and lack of legal protections over the period 1870–1940 to lower innovation.[1] Despite this, many black innovators have been responsible for a large number of major inventions.

Among the earliest was George Washington Carver, whose reputation was based on his research into and promotion of alternative crops to cotton, which aided in nutrition for farm families. He wanted poor farmers to grow alternative crops both as a source of their own food and as a source of other products to improve their way of life. The most popular of his 44 practical bulletins for farmers contained 105 food recipes using peanuts.[2] He also developed and promoted about 100 products made from peanuts that were useful for the house and farm. He received numerous honors for his work, including the Spingarn Medal of the NAACP.

A later renowned scientist was Percy Lavon Julian, a research chemist and a pioneer in the chemical synthesis of medicinal drugs from plants. He was the first to synthesize the natural product physostigmine, and a pioneer in the industrial large-scale chemical synthesis of the human hormones, steroids, progesterone, and testosterone, from plant sterols such as stigmasterol and sitosterol. His work would lay the foundation for the steroid drug industry's production of cortisone, other corticosteroids, and birth control pills.[3]

A contemporary example of a modern-day inventor is Lonnie George Johnson, an engineer. Johnson invented the Super Soaker water gun, which was the top-selling toy in the United States from 1991 to 1992. In 1980 Johnson formed his own law firm and licensed the Super Soaker water gun to Larami Corporation. Two years later, the Super Soaker generated over $200 million in retail sales and became the best selling toy in America. Larami Corporation was eventually purchased by Hasbro, the second largest toy manufacturer in the world. Over the years, Super Soaker sales have totaled close to one billion dollars. Johnson reinvested a majority of his earnings from the Super Soaker into research and development for his energy technology companies – "It's who I am, it's what I do."[4] As of 2019, Johnson holds over 120 patents, with more pending, and is the author of several publications on spacecraft power systems.[5][6][7]"

Republicans' war on education

So really, it's no surprise that the Republican Party — which has never been a friend of schools — has dramatically escalated its war on education on its march to becoming a fully fascist institution. Most of this is done under the guise of fighting "critical race theory. It's a real term in academia, but in GOP hands, "critical race theory" amounts to a conspiracy theory used to scare white people into supporting a full-blown assault on the teaching of history or literature in public schools. But with the early success of this tactic, particularly in the Virginia gubernatorial race, Republicans are feeling empowered to dramatically broaden their assault on all forms of education, from pre-K to the university level."

Really? I also know two who went to the Caribbean. What are the odds that two strangers on random forum would have this experience? Maybe it's more common than we think.

Sweetie pie I am on staff with 3 hospitals and sit on the staff admission board at one. I know or have seen the CV on hundreds of doctors. It isn't that common. Or it isn't that common around here. And as I said you have to pass the USMLE to license in the US.

You must understand that these Caribbean medical schools are not all up to the standards of U.S. schools. There are some well-known Caribbean medical schools that have been graduating successful physicians for a long time, but others have dismal USMLE pass rates and residency match rates, as we’ll cover below.

No one is denying the fact that a few individual Blacks have made very impressive achievements. But the facts remain their standards for admission to medical schools is lower than those for White students.

Howard college of Medicine is the only all Black medical school in the US. They also have the lowest GPA and lowest MCAT score for new students than any medical school.

Howard University COM views the medical educational journey as one of creating opportunity for those who otherwise would not have it. The students who are admitted fall below the mean of the national MCAT average (503 vs. 511), with mean science undergraduate GPA of 3.4 (vs. national science undergraduate GPA of 3.6).

Yup. If i said "one man is 7 feet tall so all men are" no one would accept that argument. But that's what libs tell us about blacks. "One black is smart so they all are."

well to be fair, you dont have to be Dr Kildare to abort babies and shoot up junkies who have ODed with that OD counteragent.

but yes, do take a gander at the sheepskin before you book an appointment.

To be fair- you shouldn't have such poor disregard for Black Doctors.

Dude, you may have well said- TAKE A LOOK AT THEIR COLOR- BEFORE YOU BOOK AN APPOINTMENT!

you're not too bright, are ya bunky?

You're original contention:

Average MCAT Scores:

Whites: 507.5
Blacks: 497.6

Average MCAT Scores for those attending medical school:

Whites: 512.7
Blacks: 505.9

Now you're saying that the MEAN scores for med students at 47 sample schools is as high as 522.

BUT

You have NOT provided the racial break down of scores for attending students in each of those schools. That is the crux of your declaration. Given the fluctuating numbers you've presented thus far, your dubious assertion is NOT a fact, but instead sheer supposition and conjecture.

If you STILL don't understand, get a nearby adult to explain it to you. If you can't or won't meet the simple burden of proof, don't waste yours and everyone else's time parroting a new version of the SOS.

Carry on.

If you STILL don't understand, get a nearby adult to explain it to you. If you can't or won't meet the simple burden of proof, don't waste yours and everyone else's time parroting a new version of the SOS.

Carry on.

Oh, and here's a little tidbit that'll have you pissing your sheets. >pew-pew-pew<

Howard college of Medicine is the only all Black medical school in the US. They also have the lowest GPA and lowest MCAT score for new students than any medical school.

No one is denying the fact that a few individual Blacks have made very impressive achievements. But the facts remain their standards for admission to medical schools is lower than those for White students.

What medical school did you graduate from other than a shithead school for intellectually deficient trolls and useless liars?
