The facts are Pelosi totaled two cars and seriously injured one person and needs to be charged with a felony and prosecuted for a felony the fix is in for the lush. He was under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Pelosi isn't being treated like every other person that receives a DUI. The fix is in.

There was no trial set for Aug 3rd. It was an arraignment. All the judge did was present Pelosi's lawyer with the charges and ask for a plea. The judge then accepted the "not guilty" plea and set a date for the next court appearance of Aug 23rd at which time the date for a trial would be determined.

So there was no trial that was going to happen on Aug 3rd.
There was no judge stepping down before the trial.
There was no judge replacing another judge since the arraignment is done with whatever judge is available that day.

The next step in Pelosi's case is set to be heard in Dept 3 on August 23rd which if the court assignments are correct the case will be heard by Judge Sola, the original judge that was supposedly removed, unless he is out that day.
