Naomi Judd leaves Wynonna and Ashley out of her will.

He's speculating based on results so not on "nothing"; Naomi was mentally ill, killed herself and had a simple will of letting the husband decide everything. While it's interesting that a rich, successful woman dies, effectively, without a will, it's not that odd.

you just literally said she didn't have a will and that she had a will.......instead, it looks like she had a fairly complex living trust including generation skipping transfers to avoid federal estate taxes......

Learn how to use a dictionary and look up the word "effectively", dumbass, then go back to sucking Satan's cock.

I'm not a fucking lawyer but am sure they are fine.

Naomi Judd left her two daughters, Wynonna Judd and Ashley Judd, out of her will, Page Six reports.

The country singer, who died by suicide on April 30, appointed her husband Larry Strickland as the executor of her estate, per the report.

Naomi Judd, per documents, requested the 76-year-old Strickland have “full authority and discretion” over any property that is an asset to her estate “without the approval of any court” or permission from any beneficiary of the estate.

RadarOnline.com reports a source said Wynonna, 58, is “upset” that she was excluded because she “believes she was a major force behind her mother’s success” and the duo, The Judds. The outlet also reports the will and estate to be worth $25 million dollars.

According to Page Six, Strickland should be entitled to receive “reasonable compensation” for his services, and that he would be paid or reimbursed for all “reasonable expenses, advances and disbursements, including attorney’s and accountant’s fees, made or incurred in the administration of my estate.”

In May, Ashley Judd told “Good Morning America” her mother died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

“She used a weapon … a firearm,” Ashley Judd said. “So that’s the piece of information we’re very uncomfortable sharing, but understand that we’re in a position, that if we don’t say it, someone else is going to.”

Ashley Judd revealed she found her mother’s body, adding, “I went upstairs to let her know that her good friend was there and I discovered her. I have both grief and trauma from discovering her.”

Sounds fishy to me. Is the husband taking care of the daughters?

We know she had mental problems, and killed herself, but you assume she made her will sanely and logically. I say she may or may not have been aware of her actions.

It looks to me like everything is hunky-dory there. Go watch some "Days of Our Lives" for your drama fix.

we all know what the word means...I can even use it in a sentence......'Dutch is effectively brain dead'.......

Translation: I'm a weak Satanic cocksucker who needs to use "we" to feel important and then tacitly admit you were correct, Dutch.

No worries, Pmp. Like several members of JPP, you're a weak, bitter, scared POS geezer whose only contribution to the forum is whining and bitching about others. Death will be a release to you. Free from all pain and worry.

OTOH, when you die, you'll be going to Hell, so that's not so good. Sad.

Making someone the executor doesn't automatically remove anyone else from the will.

I have to wonder why the children aren't as well off as their mother?

That isn't the point. Naomi was suffering from mental issues. How do we know her husband/executor didn't use her issues to get her to name him and leave the girls out?
That very well may be argued in court, depending on the date that the will was written.

You make a lot of assumptions considering you have zero idea of the inner-workings of this family. There is no evidence the husband of 35 years was acting nefariously.

Whatever the reason, it was Naomi's wishes and as such, should be honored. We don't know the history and the personal details of the whole situation.

She had her reasons and had not been declared incompetent by a judge. End of story.
Absent a will, the result would be exactly the same.
It's quite possible she thought this is the simplest way to handle the estate.

Let someone else decide proper handling of the estate, so that she isn't judged for playing favorites.

Exactly....she could also have been influence by her spouse of 33 years, Larry Strickland. He earned the $25M.
I'd be interested to see any changes to the will, and the date. It's very common for people to get a taste of money/assets when there are estates involved. My sister did that with my father, which benefitted her to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars.

Of course, the husband would have to know that his wife was plotting suicide in order to time any changes to the will.

I haven't read the entire link in the OP, but simply being the executor doesn't automatically deny others any benefits.

Suicidal people, usually meaning chronically depressed, telegraph their intentions. Sometimes for years. Robin Williams battled depression for years before taking his own life.

An oddity is that Naomi was a woman, that she used a pistol instead of pills and that she was 76 years old.

It's still hard to believe that Robin Williams – beloved comedian, actor, father, and friend – is no longer with us. To the public and even close friends, he appeared to be happy, upbeat and funny, and he was financially stable — all of those things that seem worth living for. But behind the public persona that we knew and loved, we now know that he had battled addiction to alcohol and drugs, was struggling with depression, and was in the early stages of Parkinson’s disease, a known risk factor for depression.

That is the terrible truth about depression. It is a disease that can rob you of your perspective on life, and it often co-exists with substance misuse or addiction. Depression is not just being sad, and it’s not a character weakness or personal failing. It is a disease that can impact all facets of one’s life. It can make you think that life is not worth living. Because of public misperceptions of the disease, people with depression often try to conceal their disease until that too becomes too much to bear.

Robin Williams was only age 63. He was in the prime of his life. Yet we know that men age 45–64 have one of the highest suicide rates of any age group — rates that, according to the latest national data, grew by 40% between 1999 through 2011. And much of the suicide prevention and research efforts to date have been focused on other at-risk groups.

Liar, I am referring to what parents have decided, "I will not give my kids large sums of money, it is bad for them" regardless of what those kids have done or not done in life, this decision does not get changed if the kids are successful on their own.

If I were super rich I would still ensure my children were well taken care of, but sport that is a personal choice.

No one here knows the details and the whole story. Lots of things go on in families. All you are doing is speculating based on nothing.

I totally agree it is pure speculation based on past examples of people with mental issues being manipulated by spouse or care giver.
