I already know about fiat currency and it's problems. I also realize that it is still the currency in use. I also realize that could easily change (for the better, in my opinion). Apparently you have not been paying attention to any of my posts.

Those machines have to be manufactured. They have to be trucked to the site in pieces using specially modified trucks. The installation work requires a helicopter. Then, of course, there is the blight on the landscape.
When the machine is retired (yes, they do have a limited life span), the blades are cut up and buried. There is no way to recycle them.
