Levin described the committee’s investigation as a “sham” and declared it would “go down in history as a dark mark on the American political system.”

“There is no way we can get to the truth under this committee,” Levin outlined. “And what is the purpose of the hearing? The purpose of a hearing is not to present a Hollywood-produced show trial. The purpose of a hearing is to garner information. They say they had 1,000 witnesses and 140,000 documents. A thousand witnesses and 140,000 documents? In order to determine what? How to protect the Capitol building? A thousand witnesses, and yet they couldn’t call one more, Nancy Pelosi, to explain what she did or didn’t do. And more and more information is coming out about how incompetent and irresponsible Nancy Pelosi was — her failure to protect that building.”

“Now, this is a sham,” he continued. “This will go down in history as a dark mark on the American political system. You can’t see it now — the mob is in control, the mob runs the media; the propaganda is full-throated. You can’t see it now, but history has a way of sobering events. And we will see this one day as the outrageous attack on our system on the prior president, on scores of people that it truly is. It’s an abomination to the American system — not just of justice but our congressional and representative system.”

“This is tyranny,” Levin concluded. “You’re staring it in the face.”

We don't live under tyranny. And you always make wrong assumptions about me. I love the Constitution much more than you do - you don't think it's working. You think the founders' vision was flawed.

It's embarrassing to call anything that exists in America "tyranny." It does a huge disservice to the many millions throughout history under real oppression.

If people want to see real oppression - let those crazies who stormed the Capitol on 1/6 actually create a new gov't in "their" vision. It's laughable that anyone thinks they'd have more freedom under whatever system that would be.

I'll say it again: we live more free lives than any humans in the history of the planet. To call this "tyranny" is just embarrassing.

Maybe they are afraid the committee will reveal (they already have) that there were weapons used in the assault, that Nancy did not refuse troops and has no authority over Capitol security, that Trump did not authorize any troops. They don't want to accept any responsibility for the attack and won't believe Trump lost the election.
 
I agree that the January 6th hearings are a waste of time.
Biden should have just rounded up the orangutan and his trumpanzees and taken care of it immediately.
America is not known for its efficiency.

I think the Constitution is ignored, not that it's not working. the founders vision was great, not flawed. tyranny is that which is legal for government to do, but illegal for the people.
