The stunning, total defeat of ACORN

Everything in your power? Nothing to worry about, then.

Tell me about it! Our intellectually impotent neocon bullhorn merely mimics the yahoos that showed up at the 9/12 Teabagger follies! I seriously doubt that Sen. Casey has anything to fear from this pinhead's bravado (with no insult meant to those who manufacture pins).

Thanks for admitting they are inept.

^see^.....nothing but troll

i didn't admit that, not even close, if you want people to take you seriously, stop trolling....it is clear from your knowledge of certain posters and your lame attempt at humor, that you are a long time poster on at least one other board i post at.....you're a troll dude....accept it or change it....your choice

When all is said and done....the MOST Acorn is guilty of is a lousy hiring system...which results in a lot of jokers trying to scam the paycheck with fake registrations, or these latest buffoons.

However, to date ALL the phony registers were reported by the ACORN administration themselves. And I have YET to hear of ANY phony registration by an ACORN temp employeet actually being counted in any local or national election.

Mandates to get ACORN to clean up it's employee processing system could have been done with little fanfare

Bottom line: you have another case of the neocon GOP driven media noise machine setting the pace and tone for the Dems to dance to.

Who gives a fuck. The government shouldn't be funding private organizations anyway. If ACORN is so great, it can survive without taxpayer dollars.

Who gives a fuck. Evidently the neocon driven GOP and it's willfully ignorant supporters do.....because the more Americans that are registered, the less chance of Republicans being re-elected/elected to office (the GOP has done better under low voter turn out since I was 18 years old). The government shouldn't be funding private organizations anyway. If ACORN is so great, it can survive without taxpayer dollars.
If you are willing to apply this to any and ALL private organizations, then I concur. However, I seriously doubt you realize how many private organizations that you may hold near and dear to your political/social ideology are in the same funding boat as ACORN. I suggest you do a little honest research on the subject. Here's a hint: corporate welfare.

Tai chi.

Please use the standard quoting mechanism, or face the consequences.

Thanks in advance for your compliance.

If they accept government money, then they don't even come close to representing my political/social ideology. The government shouldn't be propping up private organizations. I am 100% against corporate welfare, or any kind of welfare, for that matter. Do we agree?

Can we carry this acorn logic over to churches?
We have some that promote sex with underage girls so ban em all?

I think debating the tax status of churches is a fair argument to have. ACORN however was not only tax exempt they recieved millions of tax payers dollars and were in the tube to receive 8 billion more via the Obama stimulus.

Two very seperate arguments.

P.S. Any illegal activity by any tax exempt organization should be grounds to lose their tax exempt status.

OOOOHH! That's a teaser for the willfully ignorant neocon bible thumpers, ain't it? ;):hand:

There is no difference, if one must punish the majority for the actions of a few?

We currently have at least 3 preachers awaiting trial for child molestation in KY.
At least 3 that are currently in the news.
And none of them are Catholic either

So we should remove tax exempt status for all those churches of the same demonations?

What about the FDLS and that church with rev. billy bob or whatever as the leader that was convicted on child molestation with the help of his church leaders?

And I figure some of those denominations get federal funds for programs.

Well, brace yourself kid....because our very infrastructure in American society is either dependent upon, or associated with "gov't money". Clean water, good roads, good food, building quality, job security, etc., etc. are all intertwined with federal gov't regulations, funding, subsidies, etc. IF YOU ENJOY ANY QUALITY OF LIFE IN THIS INDUSTRIALIZED SOCIETY AT PRESENT, THEN YOU ARE A DIRECT OR INDIRECT BENEFICIARY OF GOV'T FUNDING. ;)

no, it was simply a coincidence that the same thing was happening in California and New York and wherever the other two were....

You mean like the pedophile priests in various dioceses and states throughout the country? Yep, a coincidence.....but as I said, the FACT is that you have the Catholic hierarchy DOCUMENTED in aiding and abetting criminals.

To date: Acorn has turned over criminals in it's organization when found out, and has NO record of aiding and abetting. Deal with it.

Bullshit. they are fraudulent to the fucking core

Just because you say so with conviction, does not make it true.

Can you logically or factually refute what I say beyond your opinion?

so there you have it.....you're in favor of investigating the churches......so, are you in favor of investigating ACORN?.....

Liar, Liar, Pants on fire!

The New York Times reported on July 9, 2008, that Dale Rathke, the brother of ACORN's founder Wade Rathke, was found to have embezzled $948,607.50 from the group and affiliated charitable organizations back in 1999 and 2000. ACORN executives decided to handle it as an internal matter, and did not inform most of the board members or law enforcement, and instead signed an enforceable restitution agreement with the Rathke family to repay the amount of the embezzlement. Wade Rathke told the Times, "the decision to keep the matter secret was not made to protect his brother but because word of the embezzlement would have put a 'weapon' into the hands of enemies of Acorn, a liberal group that is a frequent target of conservatives who object to ACORN's often strident advocacy on behalf of low- and moderate-income families and workers." A whistleblower revealed the embezzlement in 2008. On June 2, 2008, Dale Rathke was dismissed, and Wade stepped down as ACORN's chief organizer, but he remains chief organizer for Acorn International L.L.C.

Deal with it, the place is run by crooks....

There is no difference, if one must punish the majority for the actions of a few? Well, that's what the neocons are braying with regards to ACORN...and that's wrong.

We currently have at least 3 preachers awaiting trial for child molestation in KY.
At least 3 that are currently in the news.
And none of them are Catholic either  Be they Methodist, Baptist, Lutherans, Mormons, etc., etc., they all have roots in the Judeo/Christian Old Testament Bible. That aside, the analogy regarding the Catholic Church hierarchy aiding and abetting pedophiles is a matter of FACT & History.

So we should remove tax exempt status for all those churches of the same demonations? If they have been found guilty of knowingly and willingly aiding and abetting criminal activity...yes. Again, ACORN has NOT been found guilty of such.

What about the FDLS and that church with rev. billy bob or whatever as the leader that was convicted on child molestation with the help of his church leaders? see above responses
And I figure some of those denominations get federal funds for programs.

how do you know?.....nobody has investigated them before.....

Because I READ more than one news source...and I remember what I read and apply it to current events. When ACORN was being accused of voter fraud, it was under scrutiny....and passed the tests. The neocons COULD NOT PROVE THEIR ALLEGATIONS THAT ACORN MANAGEMENT WAS PROMOTING FALSE REGISTRATIONS. That Acorn itself was turning in the culprits to the authorities should have been the tip off.

Anything else?
