Final Report Card on Bush's Tax Cuts

LOL!!! The rich lost all kinds of money under Bush. He did more to equalize the playground than anyone! How funny.

The GDP per capita gained in the 2000's. The median income fell. What does that tell you?

Homeboy, I love you WM but rich folks lost all kinds of money under Bush. The world lost all kinds of money under Bush. Were people joking about losing their 401K's under Bush? With all due respect I know you don't work so I know you wouldn't know but ask any working fool how their 401K did under Bush. LOST son.

I'm chilling in SF with Pelosi's, Feinstein's and Boxer's folks. Was at a party with their fans tonight actually. Rich liberals and my cracker ass but they are not ammune from the pain son.

One day WM you will be into women and you too will go hogging and have a fat girl at your pad. And maybe like me you will sit on your computer until she goes to bed so you can sleep on your couch instead of your own bed where a fat girl is laying.

you do not have the facts to back you up....nor does your article attempt to lay the blame solely at tax cuts.....you can infer all you want....but often timing and good fortune matter....

bush's first tax cuts worked....thats a fact, and the liberal media acknowledged it....you are trying to rewrite history and blame solely bush, as if his tax cuts alone caused the economy to lessen.....such claims are nothing but partisan nonsense and you of all people should know that

read your aticle again, it doesn't prove what you're saying or do you need to pull more quotes from your article?
Please, explain to me how the mythical Bush tax cuts worked (I say mythical because under Bush my over all tax burden went up.).

Democrats don't know and republicans don't care. Ib1 is most certainly on the lower side of income. I bet he takes mean photographs. But analysing economic data is not his forte. If tax cuts are so bad, why did Obama give the to 95 percent of you.

Shameful.

"Bush's record on poverty is equally bleak. When Clinton left office in 2000, the Census counted almost 31.6 million Americans living in poverty. When Bush left office in 2008, the number of poor Americans had jumped to 39.8 million (the largest number in absolute terms since 1960.) Under Bush, the number of people in poverty increased by over 8.2 million, or 26.1 per cent. Over two-thirds of that increase occurred before the economic collapse of 2008."

For some of us the bush term wasn't as bad as for other. For me I tripled income, got MBA without paying a dime, Purchased a home that nearly doubled in value with zero down @ 5% (still up like 40%), Averaged an effective tax rate of between 8-14%. So i cant really complain a hell of a lot.

It's total horseshit that only the top 1% did good under Bush. I quadrupled my investment and went from about 80K to 125K in salary. I'd say the top 40% (college grads and smart hard workers did fine). The real cause is globalization hurting the bottom 60% but instead of taking responsibility it's easier for dems to blame Bush. WTF will they say as the trend continues. Stay tuned it's sure to get more comical.

take away lesson:

Tax cuts that overwhelmingly benefit very rich people, and a hands-off deregulatory approach to the markets was a stupid fucking idea in 2000.

Just like Gore said it was.
