Final Report Card on Bush's Tax Cuts

A hit piece reporting the numbers from the census. Amazing.

That leaves Bush with the dubious distinction of becoming the only president in recent history to preside over an income decline through two presidential terms, notes Lawrence Mishel, president of the left-leaning Economic Policy Institute.

Figures don't lie, but liars can sure figure....

Well you've studied the thread long enough MM....nothing to say??

You gonna hide out with IB1fool ?

no you tool....they took facts and INTERPRETED them and made CORRELATIONS that are not accurate....

It ALSO made intrepretations and such. But the facts are totally damning on the bush presidency.

If you cannot see that then you would vote for Bush again if you could.

The numbers in question are US Census numbers for ALL families. My wife and I, as most "empty nesters", are not a family of four, but we are a family. The fact is that for the first time since these figures were recorded, the median figure has gone down during two terms of any President. It further proves once again that "Supply Side Economics" simply doesn't work, it never has and never will.

thanks....

as to the rest...of course i'm not surprised this hit piece showed what you claim and did not ever say they worked....yawn

Don't take anybody's word, just go to the US Census Bureau and check the median income for all US families during bush's time in office. Then refute the numbers if you can.

But it was not fair to correlate the numbers when bush took office and when he left. That does not show anything about Bush's performance as president.

Did you forget mission accompolished?

If you are saying that his numbers cannot give the total picture of the character of the man, I concur.

True. Numbers cannot adequatly describe the despicableness of Bush.

They do however describe his inept management.

Census numbers are in. We were told that Bush's massive deficits were alright because cutting taxes primarily for the super wealthy was "trickle down" economics that would make us all wealthier.

You want to guess what happened? The super wealthy got way wealthier, and guess what happened to the median income?

It dropped from about 52,000 at the end of Clinton's term to 50,000. That's a four percent drop for the math challenged (Republicans). That's not even including inflation, which makes it greater than four percent in real terms.

Congratulations. You have been proven to be tools AGAIN. You made the wealthy all the more wealthier having sacrificed your income to do it.

50k? Inflation adjusted?
