It'll be up to the DOJ to file charges and to prove their case in court. This is one reason why I believe the DOJ won't file on Trump...but everyone under him will burn for their participation.

Who, besides Scott Perry, asked for pardons? All of those assholes will be held accountable for their crimes.

This isn’t a trial, but if you insist on the analogy, this is like the defense saying they weren’t going to pick any jurors after the prosecution rejecting one of their picks. It was childish display by McCarthy. He could have chosen other committee members. He just bowed down to Donnie again and tried to make the committee appear illegitimate. All for Donnie and those Congress critters that sought pardons.

Having more mental health programs is not the solution to mass shootings.

There are a lot of disturbed people out there who refuse to get treatment, or do not recognize they need it. And there is no way to force them to get treatment unless law enforcement is aware they are making threats to harm themselves or others.

The select Committee includes Republicans, just not the ones who are in the bag for Trump.

It would be absurd to include people on a committee who have already demonstrated they are determined to undermine the function of the committee.

Pelosi made the right choices.

Well - your argument fails three ways:

1. This is not a trial. This is a fact-finding and reporting function. Congress can only recommend prosecution, they cannot convict. And even if congress recommends it, the DOJ may even decline to prosecute.

2. If it were like a trial, which it is not, then the prosecuting attorney.. Pelosi in this case, can elect to dismiss jurors.. the process is called Voir Dire.

3. You can't have people who are being investigated also be the investigators. It's called conflict of interest.

This is not a criminal trial. Hopefully that comes later. And if it does, both sides will have to agree on the jurors.

When no-gun zones are created, guns come in from Republican controlled states with liberal gun laws. Chicago is an example. You can't buy a gun in Chicago, but gun stores in nearby Indiana line the border. Australia doesn't have that problem.
