Russia's army could collapse amid huge losses of more than 30,000 troops

I don't think so. For starters, we have a pluralistic multi-party democracy. If people don't like the leaders, we have a chance to vote them out...

It isn't much of a chance, is it. It's a choice of two billionaires . The media is owned by 15 other billionaires. There's as much chance of breaking that strangle hold as there is of unseating the communist Chinese.

It's never once been a choice between two billionaires. In 2020, Biden wasn't a billionaire. In 2016, Clinton wasn't. In 2012, Obama wasn't. In 2008, neither candidate was. In fact, in all of American history, Trump and Romney are the only two billionaires who were ever on the ballot, at least as nominee for either of the major parties.

I'll settle for multi-millionaires . Same difference as far as your voter goes.

That's a huge difference. Roughly one out of every 16 people in this country are multi-millionaires (if you count anyone with a net worth of $2 million or higher). Multi-millionaires include a good chunk of the professional class, and a whole lot of people who were born into the middle class or even the working class. Billionaires, by comparison, are a rare breed, where most come from ultra-wealthy families (e.g., Romney and Trump), and even those thought of as "self made" usually have plenty of money in their background (e.g., Bill Gates's father being the founder of a giant law firm, or Elon Musk's father owning an emerald mine).

Nah- billionaires, multimillionaires- the difference doesn't matter to Joe voter. His/her choice is between two extremely wealthy candidates . US democracy is a Ponzi scheme.

Critics of the Russian system even attempt to paint Russian leaders as ' billionaires ' in order to vilify them.
Same with socialist leaders everywhere- they depict them as wealthy thieves of public money in order assassinate their characters- while prostrating before wealth themselves. It's hypocrisy unchained.

I am "Joe voter," and the difference matters to me. I admit that from your perch in Russia, it probably all looks the same. The only real candidate there is Putin, after all, and he's a billionaire. But here in the US, we have options.

Stupid twat, your butt buddy Putin is one of the richest people in the world.

No, ' we' don't. You're deluded, fed by the deceit that wealth is ' life's aim ' and that supporting the wealthy is your role. The difference between you and Joe Voter ( because Joe Voter you ain't ) is that you're aware of the hopelessness of the political Ponzi scheme but you're already invested in it. No wonder that the mere thought of Socialism scares the ass off you. In fact, you liken it to ' terrorism ' and persecute socialists. You're a Fat Man in a thin man's world- and you fully deserve the future shock.

You missed the point of my earlier comment, maggot- as did this Mina fool. You worship wealth yourself while associating it with ' evil ' in others. In short, you're a sick capitalist fucko.

See you, Jiminy.

I like freedom to own property too but I get the point you're making.

For Example...Bill Gates buying up farmland so it CAN'T be used is an abuse of capital.

There should be a legal limit . Nobody at all should own vast acreages to the detriment of those with nothing. Some countries have stripped such ownership and divided land wealth.
I think we've bombed most of them.

Japan ate their rich after WWII and became the envy of the world.

Stupid Marxist bullshitter, you're all the fucking same.

I am wondering what the response will be from the Ukrainian people when they see the inevitable peace deal with Russia. Will it be "What was this all for?"? Will it be "we were betrayed by our leaders"? Will it be "We were betrayed by America!"?
