Mail-order abortion pill sales are surging in red states

It's Amazon footing the bill. That's fine by me. Better them than the government on my and your dime.

Where the fuck did having you and me pay for the fucking abortion come into play with the Republicans seeking to overturn Roe v Wade?

30% of women that take Plan B make ER visits in the Next 30 days. Some women who have taken Plan B have excessive bleeding for over a month. 24 women have died from complication of the Plan B pill.

30,000 die in car accidents every year.

Almost a million have died because Pedo Don fucked up the US COVID response.

What’s your point again?

Abortion should not be a political issue.
Agreed, but it has been ever since Roe v. Wade was passed. It gained more prominence when the Christian Right were given a major seat at the Republican table in 1980.

Plan B is about $50 a pop. Again, it’s the poor and the lower income women who will be trapped as elitist servants.

Thanks. All said and done, $50 bucks for an OTC of this importance ain't a bad deal. I would be worried about side effects, though. But yeah, there is already the underlying agenda.

Source (s) of your information, please. OTC meds across the spectrum have percentages of bad if not crippling or fatal side effects. The FDA KNOWS this before approval.

I believe in abortion on demand at any point prior to cutting the umbilical cord.
I also believe in euthanasia if births go badly.

That said, the SCOTUS is going to make things hard for a while--at least until we have a social democratic president willing to unilaterally install his/her own court like any gutsy leader would.

Therefore, why are we still having unwanted pregnancies? My wife and I planned both of our kids in the 1970s and it worked out perfectly.
What the fuck is wrong with people?

The pill has been around for a long, long time.
So have tubal ligation and vasectomy been around for a long time when you're done. The fucking afterward is still as much fun.

Also, if you can't afford to come to a blue state for an abortion, you certainly can't afford to be dropping kids instead.
That's self-evident unless you're mentally impaired.

I always made it clear that I had no desire (or the finances) to be a father before sex. If I didn't have the condom, the lady made a quick trip to the bathroom before the party started. If the spur of the moment occurs, there are other ways of having fun. But as the saying goes, if there's a way of screwing things up, people will find a way.

Plan B must be taken within 72 hours. It’s not an abortion pill. If one has sex regularly, then a woman should use contraceptives.

Even then, contraceptives are not 100%. A woman can find herself pregnant even if using them. Banning abortion will adversely affect middle-class families across America.

it is very difficult to counter those who are truely intent on killing their children.......

Evil people like you want children to suffer the pains of poverty, disease and a trapped as servants to minions of Satan.

May God watch you burn for your evil ways, PmP.

Its funny to watch these bazar looking abortion activist screaming "my body my choice" as if someone would expose them to a chance of pregnancy.

Several Republican lawmakers have made attempts to prohibit the abortion pills from being shipped or prescribed, however, some people are finding ways around that by ordering the pills online "from overseas pharmacies that can't be reached by U.S. laws," the Post reports. It's a five-day dosage of tablets that typically comes in an "unassuming envelope," which makes it hard to patrol. These nondescript shipments "will probably become another front in the battle over abortion rights," says the Post.

"Mailed pills are hard to police," Temple Law School's Rachel Rebouche said, but "[t]hat has not stopped [states] from trying." Experts believe more people will turn to those online sources if abortion rights are overturned.

In 2000 the Food and Drug Administration approved mifepristone, taken along with misoprostol, to induce what is essentially a miscarriage, explains the Post. It's approved as safe and effective for use up to 10 weeks of pregnancy.

Advocates say residents of Texas and several other states with strict policies on abortions "have already helped fuel the boom in medication abortions, as patients seek alternatives to surgical abortions at a clinic."

Most abortions are not done surgically any more. The forced-birthers can try but they will never be able to control women or curb their rights. Prediction: More and more women will turn to these oral medications. Some will have poor outcomes and present at the emergency room for treatment of infection and/or uncontrolled bleeding. The forced-birther states will try to criminalize them. The media will create a firestorm over this injustice. The forced-birthers will be forced to back down. But a few women will die because they fear getting treatment and being prosecuted. It'll be just what the forced-birthers want: The good old days pre-Roe v Wade.

A logical outcome. The theocratic authoritarian states will still attempt to block this such as monitoring overseas mail.

Delaware is the corporation capital of the US due to it’s laws. It’s not unforeseen that people can have a PO Box in one state for receiving overseas goods then have all mail boxed and mailed from one state to the recipient….in a plain brown wrapper.

All nice and legal until the theocratic authoritarians start snooping in everyone’s mail on the pretense to “catch abortionists”.

Fascism has arrived and we can only blame ourselves. We get the government we deserve.

I'm not sure that a state has the authority to meddle with the U.S. mail. The USPS sure doesn't have the personnel to be checking letters and small pkgs for "contraband," either.
