The SCOTUS is about to overturn Roe V Wade.

Yes, it does. So says Roe v. Wade. You may disagree with that point of view, but the fact is that Roe v. Wade is settled law. Stare Decisis. It's a principle that has guided the courts ..... until now.

Hate to tell you but you are misreading 14, that isn't the point. The court
Most likely will vacate Roe and it will no longer be the law of the land

I am not anti abortion but I am anti government overstepping its authority. Abortion was and should always have been a states issue. There are many elective medical procedures that are banned here so people have to go where they can. What makes abortion any different than other elective procedures?

Why?

What makes it a states right?

That means it’s not a right if a state can take it away

Now the state owns a woman’s body if they choose to

Looks like abortion rights are being returned to the states. What are the pros and cons. Of this action.

Looking at it from a purely constitutional standpoint Roe overrode states rights.

Before you blow a fuse, I am not endorsing nor condemming the action. I submit this argument.

I blame any one who has any ever voted republican!!! they told you this is what they wanted do for the last 50 years

This will open up a new business opportunity in legal states for abortion clinics on borders.
No different than the 5 dispensaries 1/2 mile in Michigan from Ohio.
So much for "One nation under God".
Just a matter of time till North America becomes like Europe, each State or group of States a new Country.
Domino effect.

But the abortion myth quickly collapses under historical scrutiny. In fact, it wasn’t until 1979—a full six years after Roe—that evangelical leaders, at the behest of conservative activist Paul Weyrich, seized on abortion not for moral reasons, but as a rallying-cry to deny President Jimmy Carter a second term. Why? Because the anti-abortion crusade was more palatable than the religious right’s real motive: protecting segregated schools. So much for the new abolitionism.

Roe v wade is a 14th amendment decision. That is a fact not my opinion. And no there aren’t any elective procedures that are banned in Florida. That’s ridiculous.

I'm from Toledo,It wouldn't be a month, till word would be out, where in the City, abortions would be available for cash!
Professional medical staff,sanitation not included.

Just like before roe v wade

The wealthy send their daughters to Europe

Poor people die on back ally’s

Abortion doesn’t stop

It just kills slot of people

Next they will go after birth control of all kinds

Then gay marriage

Then mixed race marriages

Then women’s voting

And black people voting

The Constitution limits the Federal government, not citizens.

For decades the Democrats have pushed the idea of Federalism controlling our rights and for the same amount of time the Republicans opposed that idea and supported the idea of inalienable rights.

Sadly, Republicans started changing as the Cold War wound down. They became more theocratic and, consequently, more authoritarian. They became Federalists seeking to dictate to Americans their rights. We get the government we deserve.
