You're right; it typically begins in middle school. The "retired teacher" would know this if she actually WAS a retired teacher. She is not.

What this bill is about, however, isn't the sex ed that we got when we were in school. This is forbidding teachers, esp. of young grade school age, of talking about gender issues. Just like the goody-two-shoes did back when we were kids, a few parents are screaming that merely mentioning that some ppl are gay and some feel like they were the opposite sex will -- wait for this news -- make them turn gay and/or trans. :rolleyes:

We'll leave it to you to guess who this small minority of parents are: white "Christians."

if anyone were saying that ALL kindergardeners were being so taught then yes, that would be a lie.
But some have and thats reason enough for parents to take an interest in the curriculum.

Nope, they have not. just telling a K to 3rd rabout that would make them turn away. It would not recruit. You should be pushing for that teaching since you are such a gay hater.

Just like we try to teach kids that it's okay to be short, have different color eyes, don't speak as well as others, are afraid of thunder, and so on.

Personally I see absolutely no difference in treating kids who feel different regarding their gender like they should be shunned and avoid, than I do treating kids who were born with different eye, hair, or skin color the same way. If you won't do the latter, why would you be okay with the former?

You are a nut. What K through 3 is selecting their sex? It is simply who you are and how you were born. Perhaps in your case, you had a very difficult and lengthy decision to make. How did you decide what sex you would be attracted to? Was it a tough decision for you? Do you regret making it now?
