They are not qualified to tell their own kids let alone make the rules for what schools can talk about, Sex education and easily available contraception does result in fewer pregnacies and cut abortion. However K through 3rd is not where it starts.
You're right; it typically begins in middle school. The "retired teacher" would know this if she actually WAS a retired teacher. She is not.
What this bill is about, however, isn't the sex ed that we got when we were in school. This is forbidding teachers, esp. of young grade school age, of talking about gender issues. Just like the goody-two-shoes did back when we were kids, a few parents are screaming that merely mentioning that some ppl are gay and some feel like they were the opposite sex will -- wait for this news -- make them turn gay and/or trans.
We'll leave it to you to guess who this small minority of parents are: white "Christians."
